The room has plenty of space even if you are a messy person and leave your stuff everywhere! The bed is amazing.. huge and confy. Perhaps not the biggest bathroom but that’s something I personally don’t care.. I didn’t go to NYC to spend time in the toilet, right!? I found the hotel very welcoming and fairly quite. A couple friends of mine stayed elsewhere and their hotel was so busy and full of rules.. definitely not for me! Back to The Cachet.. location wise I was pretty happy. You are in the 42nd which is one of the main roads and therefore well connected within the public transport system by two main buses lines taking you all way up and down Manhattan or to the east and the west side of the island. Because 42nd is one of the main roads, the road is clean and wide open where you will find yourself in a better place than if staying in other roads. There is one of those USD$1 pizza slices restaurants just two corners next to the hotel for a late food before going back to the hotel (why not getting an extra slice for breakfast? hahaha). 42nd is great and you can simply walk to a few key spots if you’re in the mood. It’s walking distance to Penn Station, Broadway and even to Time Square if you are more fan of a walk. I did a lot of walking at the beginning but after a couple of days I had to give up to public transport lol I had a great time in NYC and The Cachet played their part in the whole experience. If within your budget, and you don’t mind jumping in a bus before taking the underground, then that’s a great option for you to consider.

Although very well connected in the public transport catching the buses, most of the times you would still need to drop off and take the underground. And buses time table are not as reliable as the underground where buses are often delayed. But that’s something you know beforehand when looking at the surroundings on the map. Still very happy with the location!

it was in a great area

it’s run down, it’s still clean but not exactly how the pictures. don’t expect a big bathroom, also lights are not super bright and they come to your door before check in to knock (which is weird). staff is fine. I would love that they are better at taking care of the facility but the management is not working as they should.

The Cachet Boutique NYC is conveniently located in the trendy neighborhood of “Hells Kitchen” (about 10 minutes' walk from Port Authority Bus Terminal=Subway 42nd Street+Times Square, about 15 minutes from most Broadway theaters, bus stations of M11 and M42 at Corner 10Av/42nd Street are M42 Crosstown about 100m away)! The different types of rooms (with adjustable AC, very noisy but nobody cares in NYC) are spacious and very clean by New York standards. The bathroom includes a shower (walk in), toilet and vanity with shelf and drawer (incl. magnifying mirror, hair dryer). The rooms are equipped with a small fridge and a complimentary safe! The Boutique hotel is build on three floors and the room are situated around different courts. The rooms are mostly accessible through aisles surrounding these courts! the concept is very interesting and popular with all age of customers! Beyond the location and the rooms the third highlight is the staff: I always experienced the whole staff here to be very friendly and outstanding helpful! On behalf of the entire staff let me this time name Daisy! She is the one who was cleaning my room throughout the years ! I am customer at this hotel since 2012 now. Since then I went back every year - with an interruption of 3 years (due to the travel restrictions for Europeans)! And I will go on as long as I am traveling to New York cause it’s like coming home! Thank you all!

Let me finish with a few last words to the “experience fee” which you have to pay per day of your stay: though I know this kind of fees has become usual in other hotel as well, it’s ridiculous to justify these additional costs with the 24/7 use of the gym or the “free” WiFi throughout the resort!! Guys, we have the 21st century!! Be honest to your guests by telling them that the room prices in fact are USD 25,— per day higher as announced in all booking information. I really don’t think that this mandatory fee will make book a single customer more because of all these “advantages” mentioned above and the as well included phone calls or the discounts of the dining restaurants nearby!

It’s a great location if you want to be close to time square and Hell’s Kitchen The art downstairs is cute Wish I could remember her name but there was a lady downstairs with short blond hair that was delightful to be around with great energy and a amazing presence I know she is from Latin America. She made my stay amazing

Overall dirty staff comes in way to late for towels and the room was cleaned only once while I was there things in my room were falling apart with a simple touch The space outside doesn’t look like anything in the pictures it didn’t really make me want to go there and spend any time there’s almost nothing besides some seats

Great location- between the piers and Times Square. East walk to Times Square. Police station across the street. Felt very safe there - staff was very friendly and helpful. Good sized rooms and bed was comfortable

No amenities yet they still charge you an additional $25 usd per night. Rip off - No breakfast, but had free coffee and water and a waiting area you could sit. Never found the gym. The middle of the building on the second floor had an sunken open air deck but unfortunately it was raining so we didn’t take advantage of it. Weird art on the walls - very dark but it is a boutique style hotel. No hair dryer at hotel.

The hotel was fine, not the sparkliest (probably was in its prime!), but it was clean and comfortable. Free Wi-Fi in rooms worked great and room service was consistent. The location was perfect for exploring Midtown, but far enough away that you're not kept up all night. They had free water and coffee machines in the lobby which was nice, but the coffee across the street was even better!

Our room must have been directly below a rooftop gym? I never ventured to the fitness center, as we were so busy with our family vacation itinerary, but in the mornings we would be awaken by what sounded like really heavy weights being dropped onto a gym floor. It wasn't a huge deal, but it was scary the first time! Also, I was disappointed that they had no extra pillows when I asked.

This hotel was one of the hiddent gems of NYC. The location, the art work, the comfort of the deluxe rooms was fabulous, and Ryan, the front desk worker made it even more special as he was attentive to detail, warm and receptive. Everyone at the hotel was great, and immediate service for bellman, tv engineer, etc only took five minutes. The shower and the bed was fabulous also. This will be my new oasis in the big city as I come here often and will be back!

There was a $25 per day resort fee, which basically was just an add on, and was not explained during the booking. Also, the regular room which I stayed in for a day, was small, dirty, and directly across from the Lincoln Tunnel where there was no view and constant traffic and horn blowing noise. When I asked for a different room I was rewarded with a deluxe room on the third floor overlooking the atrium, which was lovely and made the time enjoyable!

A very nice hotel in which we enjoyed a lovely stay. Our first room was not up to standard, internal room and we had to ask to be moved due to an ant infestation. To their credit, the hotel staff were super and moved us straight away. Our second room was huge which is very rare for New York. The bed was very comfortable and the room was cleaned very well each day. A nice variety of toiletries also. Tea/coffee and filtered water in the lobby set us up nicely for each day's exploring.

As mentioned, the ant infestation was a pity in our first room but the staff dealt with it very well and we had no complaints. It is quite a walk down 42nd street from the Port Authority. Construction on the street outside made it impossible to sleep later than 7am (although when in New York, it's best to be up and out early)
