Location was great, near the main street (Laugavegur) where you will find all shorts of restaurants, shops, etc. Having a garage was also a very positive thing. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good. Rooms were clean and comfortable despite being a bit small.

Just a warning … the hotel hosts Big tour groups, so the breakfast room can get a bit hectic at times.

We stayed in Hotel Klettur for our first ever Iceland trip. We just got back homr less than a week ago. The hotel is just minutes away from Bus Stop 12 and 13(it’s a pick up location for most day tours), downtown area, shops, restaurants, groceries, Hlemmur food court and landmarks. Our room was very comfy and spacious. I have my 7 year old daughter and my sister, our room was a superior room. Some people are mentioning something about not having their rooms cleaned but it’s something you have to request and they will do it for you. Breakfast has wide array of fruits, veggies, bread, cold cuts, cereals etc. You can also book your tours with the front desk. I’ve already recommended this hotel to 2 family members who are planning to go to Iceland next year. We were also always getting picked up first for our day trips(I guess we are closest to the tour companies) so we always get the best seats for our tour. Overall, we have a wonderful time in Iceland. The Hotel was a short distance from Town which made it perfect to see Reykjavik. Staff were really friendly and helped with everything. Was able to check in early. Breakfast was good was mostly continental- meats /cheese / fruits / cereal / porridge / bread and a nice coffee machine. Parking is underground kept car safe. It's a perfect stay for visiting the capital. Would go back =)

Although we asked for a double bed we still only got 2 single duvets it would have been nicer with 1 big double duvet. As the parking is underground, the slope it is on can be very scary and slippery (if travelling in winter) it needs to be gritted daily as we got stuck and the garage door shut on us but my partner ran to get help and they assisted straight away. It seems there is only underfloor heating in iceland which is nice but we was not able to control the temperature so it was a bit colder at times.

Great location just a short walk from the main high street. The staff were friendly and were able to accommodate our request for an early check in. Also really easy to transfer to the hotel via the flybus.

it’s a very decent and clean hotel. the staff are nice and friendly. Iceland itself it’s very expensive, so the price of the hotel it’s reasonable. location of the hotel is perfect, close to the city center, walking distance, and it’s quiet during night time, no noises no music or party around. most of the tour company have pick up at this hotel, it’s on the pick up point list, so no need to walk to the pick up point. they have lift in the hotel if you’re a suitcase traveler. highly recommend this hotel.

everything was perfect. the only thing I didn’t like was the pillow, too stiff.

The front desk staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. John helped us with our excursion bookings and Monica is a gem, very friendly always greeting you with a smile. I’d like to send her a special thank you for the invaluable help she gave me

The fact that housekeeping is upon request and there was only one bar of soap to use for shower and washing hands. We were there for a few days, so I didn’t complain

The location is great with restaurants, buses and supermarket nearby and a 10 minute walk to the main shopping street. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is a plentiful continental breakfast and the bar is a lovely relaxing, nicely furnished place. The TV has English channels and the bedrooms are comfortable

There was nothing that I didn't like

The location is great for pick up to do day tours. Flybus transfers from Airport to hotel will stop right outside the hotel. Walking distance to shopping and restaurants. The staff are friendly and helpful. Free breakfast was a plus.

Construction noise.

As a 3-star hotel, I think it's ok, you can ignore the mold in the bathroom tiles, and you can ignore that the doors and windows are not tightly closed and there will always be cold winds blowing in. Their staff are very nice and friendly. The location of the hotel is also very good. There is a supermarket nearby and it is very convenient to go to the city center. Breakfast is also good

The hotel does not clean the room every day, you can ask for it. Unfortunately, the cleaning staff took away one of my room card keys on the first day, and the utensils I brought on the table the next day were nowhere to be found. I asked the front desk but unfortunately it was nowhere to be found. this annoys me There is an unfortunate smell in the room. I try to open the window every day to ventilate it, but I keep smelling it.

Spacious clean room. Easy check in and out. Luggage storage available which is very convenient. It seems that storage for several days is possible, which is very convenient when doing multi day hikes. Staff on the front desk very kind and helpful. Price ok for Iceland

Our room was on the height of the street with constuction site nearby, but it was still ok for sleeping. The breakfast was ok, but nothing really special. Ok for a 3 star hotel
