Hotel San Diego

The desk clerk was amazing. She was helpful, kind, and made extra effort to help me. The she is one reason my trip was so successful. The hotel is located between 3 Metro stations, so it was easy to get where I needed. The Metro is cheap and easy to use. I wasn't stuck in traffic or paying taxi charges. Some amazing restaurants in the area. The Zocolo was an enjoyable 20 minute walk through parks, past museums, on walking streets filled with shops and restaurants. It was a pleasure every time. The room was pretty, modern, and new. Nothing was old or needed repair. The Bathroom was sparkling and fresh.

The hotel restaurant was always busy for breakfast. In the hotel room, I didn't see air conditioning or heat. My weather was moderate and perfect for sleeping. I don't know how it would be in more extreme temperatures.

The hotel is spotless, room, lobby, hallways. The room was well thought out, with outlets and dresser. It was just the size we needed. We asked for a fan to help the ventilation and this worked fine. It was generally quiet. The location was great for us, within walking distance to the Zocalo, museums, metro. A great market within 2 blocks. 2 cafes across and down the street.

The restaurant that is attached is not good. It is unusual for my husband to order something and leave food on the plate. The coffee is bad. Powdered creamer, no milk. If not for the restaurant I would give the hotel a 10. However, the restaurant was always lively with guests, so other people did not mind.

Nice hotel with big rooms and comfortable big beds. Good location not far from historical centre of the city. Walking distance from main atractions of the downtown. Clean rooms, cleaned daily. Safe neighbourhood.

Very poor soundproofing of the rooms, both from the corridors and from the street. You can hear every passing car and the hum of bus engines waiting for passengers outside the hotel from early morning. Attentive and helpful staff, but who do not speak English.

The location of the hotel is excellent! The room was very clean, and the bed was comfortable. There are two sets of window blinds to block the light, which is great for you sensitive types!

There’s no mirror in the bathroom (but there’s a large one in the room, so that was okay). There’s lots of noise from the street and from the guests themselves (bring ear plugs).

I knew the hotel from last year where I was really satisfied and did therefore decide to go for it this year too. Good money/value deal with only a few minutes walking to Bella Artes and the area around and less than half an hours walking to Zocalo

The only very small detail is that there was no way to completely close the shower cabin from the rest of the room but only half way meaning that part of the bathroom was semi flooded when showering

Convenient location. The hotel is located 1 block from the closest Oxxo Store; 1 block from a lavanderia; 2 blocks from the large Mercado de San Juan; 3 blocks from the park, 3 blocks from the Chedraui Supermarket, and 5 blocks from Chinatown. The hotel restaurant offers a daily breakfast which is always hot and filling and served with a smile. The hotel staff is always very friendly and happy to help. Convenient elevator in the hotel. Water in the shower was always hot.

No outside view from my room. No separation from the shower and the rest of the bathroom. So, whenever I took a shower, the entire bathroom floor would get wet and very slippery. Room did not have a refrigerator.

Very central, 2 blocks from a market and 3 blocks from artisan market. 24 hours - was good because my flight arrived late and I was able to check in at 3am without problems Friendly staff It is your usual standard hotel room Good wifi, was able to work without problems

Something personal but the mirror is very close to the shower, you are literally watching yourself as you shower. No curtains, only half a glass door, it was odd Walls are a bit thin

Good location for the historical centre and also close to some of the more local bars, restaurants and parks. Great size rooms and bathrooms (had a king room), adjoining bar/restaurant which also does breakfasts. I was there at a weekend and the breakfast room was very busy with not enough staff but the breakfasts looked great.

If you’re not after luxury this is a really nice place to stay. Great location with easy access to historic city centre by walking as well as a close proximity to two subway stations. Room was clean and comfortable, shower had hot water and food pressure. All we could ever ask for.

Staff spoke very little if any english but if you’re not in the business of making special requests it won’t be an issue.

Nice hotel in a good location for walking into the city, on site parking was great.

The restaurant is a bit expensive and the breakfast service was very slow. Would recommend one of the nearby cafes!
