La Quinta by Wyndham Time Square South

This is the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed at! The location was good -- easy walk to Midtown and any subway we wanted. Comfy bed, great rain shower. Breakast had different items every day, which was pleasant. Our room had a fridge, which we appreciated. Was amazingly quiet for being on such a busy street.

No huge complaints. Breakfast space is small, but you can always carry items up. However, you will be carefully dining on the white bed (we used a towel "placemat" as there's only one chair in the room. Would have appreciated a few drawers to put things away, and my perpetual hotel pet peeve is wishing for a few hooks in the bathroom.

The Hotel was situated only a 10 minute walk from the centre of Times Square, with Subways close by so you can get around and explore more of NYC. We asked for a room refresh as we stayed for one week and they did an excellent job cleaning and were very accommodating. The breakfast was tasty and you could eat as much as you wanted, we especially liked the waffles.

Although tasty, the breakfast was a little repetitive and if you're going for more than a couple of days, you may want a change after a while. The area of Times Square is a little rough at night, so would advise to be careful. The rooms major downside was that there was minimal storage. We went for a week in February, so had a whole suitcase and there really wasn't enough storage to unpack for two people. Even a few more hangers would've been better or some draws to put things away in. However, overall we had a lovely time and it's a great hotel.

Booking Website increased our room cost by not prepaying. I was not aware of this practice. Our room was double the posted cost on Friday night.

* Staff members were really friendly * Breakfast was not too fancy but exactly what you need: a sandwich\cereal\oats, and also some fruits and coffee\tea. Due to COVID it was to-go and not seated, but for us it was perfect. * Location was great for us - we don't really like the Times Square area itself, so being not right in the middle of it but still in a central location was a win for us. We could walk to almost every part of the city easily. * The hotel and specifically the rooms feel very new and clean. They don't clean the rooms every day but you could ask for a change of towels and soap refills daily. * Free coffee\tea in the lobby 24\7 (no milk though) and fresh cookies at 5 PM were also great. * With fridge in the room and microwave in the lobby, you get to save yourself some meals outside - cheaper and healthier.

Rooms are indeed small as written in many reviews here, and also don't have a lot of storage space. We were staying for 6 nights and it was manageable, but even one more shelf in the closet and 1-2 extra hangers in the shower would make a huge difference.

Location was excellent about 10 minute walk from times square, a few blocks away from 2 tube stations meant it was easy to get anywhere in the city from the hotel. The king size bed was very spacious and comfortable. TV had a good selection of channels. Breakfast was nice but nothing special with a small selection of cereal, pastries, bagels, waffles, and cooked sausage and eggs every day, a bit of variety would have been nice. Cookies baked fresh every evening were a nice touch. Staff were friendly and helpful.

We had to request toiletries be refreshed every day at the front desk as the cleaner didn't bring any. Breakfast choices didn't vary at all. The room was reasonable size but could do with more clothes storage / shelving as 6 hangers isn't enough for 2 people with a weeks worth of clothes to unpack.

The staff were very friendly and helpful - I only had one very minor issue while I was there, and it was sorted out in minutes. The breakfast buffet was good, with some hot food and plenty of continental options. Once I got logged into the wifi, it was plenty fast enough for my needs. My room was very clean and comfortable, and amazingly quiet for saying how central the hotel is. The air con kept the room a pleasant temperature despite the heat and humidity outside.

I'm really struggling for any criticism - it would be nice not to have disposable plates and cutlery for the breakfast, but I appreciate it might be necessary. The housekeeping also tended to come round quite late in the day, meaning that I was already back in the room, but I could easily have gone back out if it was an issue.

breakfast room, the room was tiny for the number of rooms, selection of hot and old food but some items ran out due to the number of people in a small area. We were advised on checking in that the room was small but that we could take our food back to our room. We were unable to sit down on a couple of days but even when we found a table it was very cramped and uncomfortable, having said that the quality of food was good.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a decent continental breakfast. We were able to just grab something and eat in our room. Coffee and freshly baked cookies are always available in the lobby. Room (as whole hotel) was very clean. We had two rooms. In one of them (20th floor) we could open the window a bit. AC was working as well, we could turn it on or off, just like we wanted. We felt very safe. Only either guests with a room key / card can enter the hotel or the staff has to open the door. I can definitely recommend this hotel!

when we arrived we were asked to pay. we did but apparently one card was charged with 200$ deposit and the other was only checked for the payment. at the end of our stay we were asked to pay. I showed the front desk manager my invoice and he didn’t bother to explain nor did the clerk that checked us in that this is the way the hotel is working. a very condescending tone from the manager. we asked to leave the room a 8pm (with payment) and we were asked to pay a huge sum of money or 75$ until 3 pm. I ran hotels and never in my life I got such terrible attitude and disrespect for the management. we left the room at 11:00am and left the luggage with the stuff the guy that helped me with was so nice an kind!

Since you asked, breakfast was ok. Unfortunately, due to Covid, we're not allowed to help ourselves, so I got more than I would have taken.. And the line to get in was a bit long, but that was understandable once I saw that everyone was being helped individually. For a healthier breakfast, I went down the block. The room was a good size considering it's Manhattan. The bathroom was very nice. The room, and the entire building was very clean, and nicely laid out. The staff was very, very helpful in all respects.

The room thermostat was set to 80 degrees, but the thermometer read 66. It was very chilly in the room because the air blowing from the vent was cold and blew straight across the room. The space heater helped a bit, but...
