Hotel Mulberry

Well located, clean room, comfortable bed, free coffee in the morning, free water bottles, great sound isolation, attentive staff. They were able to keep our luggage before our check-in and offered an early check-in time from the standard one. As a NYC first-timer I was afraid to be a unsafe place but I had not problems, neither I felt unsafe during my stay.

We had a little incident with our room temperature once the heater was shared between two rooms and the other room set a very hot temperature in the thermostat. I had to open our window at night to normalize the temperature until the another room lowers the temperature.

Wonderful, attentive, and friendly staff. Exceptionally clean and well maintained. Very convenient location for multiple subway lines. I appreciated the security of needing a special card to unlock the outside door to the hotel after 6pm.

The thermostat in the room was quirky. The room wouldn't "hold" at around a specified temperature. For example, the outside temp was 35, and I set the room thermostat to 72, and the heat in the room wouldn't come on until it dipped below 72 (great!), BUT the room temp rose to 80, so I had to open the window to let in the outside air to cool the room down to sleep.

I absolutely love the location. Yes, it is in Chinatown but somehow on that street, it is less busy and less noisy. Believe it or not, I like that they do housekeeping every day (unfortunately, my friends and I experienced another hotel who didn't do housekeeping although we asked..).

Just two things: we could not adjust the temperature of the room and the bathroom does not have any ventilation. It would be super warm then cold then warm, so it would be nice if guests could adjust it. Ventilation in the bathroom would be nice. These things are not dealbreakers for my friends and me.

The front desk staff was wonderful. I asked to check my bag since I had arrived earlier than check in time. She checked to see if the room was clean and allowed us to check in early. When I inquired about location and train travel she was able to inform me of the necessary steps.

The terrace. It would have been an exceptional stay had there been chairs for both of us sit and enjoy the evening, the weather was perfect. Unfortunately there was only one chair and the one room chair was too heavy to carry outside. When I called the front desk I was told they had no extra chairs. WTF?

The location in Chinatown is pretty close to the subway which is a plus. There are so many restaurants in the area, both Asian and Italian. Lots of bakeries to grab a quick breakfast and coffee too. The hotel is a short block or two from the busy Canal street, but noise was never a problem. Check in was easy and fast and the room was comfy. It was nice to have the balcony. I would definitely stay here again if in the area.

Parking is expensive, but then it is Manhattan. There are two parking sites very close, just steps away, to the hotel. They worked out well.

Everything a piece of serenity in the heart of Chinatown. A great place to stay with everything on your doorstop. (Felt really safe in this hood 😀, son has Anxiety issues about everything,) Lovely to look out everyday goings on in the park as well as all the buildings. All staff were great.😀. A big Thank you for everything. This is a little gem near to all sights, I will definitely be advertising this to friends and family and at such a great price. Ps. Coffee and water in lobby, Ice available in bags.

Location was excellent. Needed close proximity to Pace University - walking distance, safe, good value. This location met all the requirements plus included a pleasant view of Columbus Park and the community - soccer, families, kids. Enjoyed feeling a part of it all. Near train, on the edge of Chinatown, Little Italy - vibrant and pleasant. Easy access to trains.

There was nothing we didn't like about the location. It met all the requirements and we had no complaints. We'd book here again in the future.

Very good location - nice park just right in front of the hotel, many good restaurants near by, nice stuff, coffee in lobby every morning and very comfy bed :)

central air conditioning - outside during the day it was a maximum of 13 degrees Celsius and the air conditioner was on non-stop - The room was very cold. We got a heater at the reception, so after that it was bearable.

My room was on the tenth floor overlooking a park in which locals practiced TaiChi, played Chinese checkers, and played Chinese instruments. The music gently drifted up to my room. The location is authentic, beaming with culture, in walking distance to multiple downtown Manhattan neighborhoods (Chinatown, Little Italy, Soho, Tribeca) etc. and I would definitely stay there again. The bed was very very comfortable and the shower, one of the best water pressures I have experienced. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I really enjoyed my stay there because of the charm of the neighborhood.

The room was very quiet, which is rare in New York City. The bed was very comfortable, and the room was a good size for a New York hotel room. The hotel is in the heart of Chinatown, with excellent restaurants nearby and many attractions with easy access by walking or subway. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

There was nothing that I didn't like. Hotel Mulberry exceeded my expectations.
