Almost No chance of early check in before three

Nice decoration and good location. Walking distance to many nice restaurants and stores.

We specifically asked for a noise free apartment, away from the elevators, ice machines, loud music etc. What we did not expect was the loud noise from the bathroom exhaust. The maintenance staff came to check and told us that during night time, if the sensor was working properly, the noise would automatically go off. The maintenance guy was very nice. But, apparently he was not able to fix it and even suggested the reception would trade our room. We couldn’t sleep at all for the first two nights, but after 8 night stays, we kind of dealt with it by using ear plugs. We did get a call from the reception mid week asking about the noise. In the end, the hotel did not charge one of the taxes, but we wish we could have gotten a larger discount for such inconvenience.

Amazing view, comfortable bed, crazy good food, very accommodating staff, always making sure you're as comfortable as possible. Did I mention the food?! Watched the moxy beautiful sunrises and saw an awesome storm. Your tub is a dream!

The weather! No complaints for you guys. Can't fix what ain't broke! I dodging like not being able to move in, I'd that possible?? Lol I really have nothing negative to say about my stay here, thank you

The Standard East Village is an amazing hotel in an amazing location with an amazing view. We were on the 16th floor, and as we had a corner room, we had a view of both the One World Trade Center and the Empire State building. The staff were fantastic and helped us every time we needed it - including the offering of a hug when I was on the patio writing my son a send-off letter! I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Let's face it: the price was high, high, high, but this is New York City...

Someone from the staff - who I believe was new though - got my request for a taxi réservation wrong and instead of asking for pick up from the hôtel to go to the airport, they asked for a car to pick me up at the airport which did not make any sense and could have gotten me in trouble to get there on time. Thankfully the driver realised there was something wrong and the mistake was solved. If I may make a suggestion, I think the hotel would benefit from having a place for hanging out besides the cafe/restaurant - somewhere comfy with sofas to relax

The staff were beyond friendly and accommodating. I arrived early and they called me as soon as my room was available, so I wasn't stuck wandering around the city for hours. The room was so comfortable. I went back to my room to grab a jacket I left behind, and the maid was cleaning. She very politely had me prive I was the occupant before letting me run off with the jacket. That left me feeling secure with the staff as stewards of our safety. The amenities were perfect.

There was terrible low lighting near the elevators on the lobby floor. That left me feeling concerned for my safety when returning to my room at night. I know they are going for a certain atmosphere, but your female patrons would prefer to feel safe and be able to see if anyone is coming.

Very trendy hotel, the bed was really comfortable and brilliant views. A much better location than other hotels we’ve stayed in and good for Brooklyn visits.

The room rates are already extremely high, so to have extra ‘facilities fees’ of $30 a night and so many other charges - starts to feel like a massive money grab. Breakfast was also very expensive although partly covered by room rate.

The reception staff was extremely cooperative and polite. They not only accommodated our request for early check-in but also promptly offered us from lower floor to higher floor room next day. The breakfast was amazing, and service was impeccable.

Lighting at the lobby could have been more illuminating. The entrance at the lifts were dimly lighted which evokes scary feelings prior getting into elevators.

Absolutely everything!! Exceptional staff who made us feel really like home and exceeded our expectations. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. Every concern went absolutely easy. The included bike rental was amazing for us and we definitely recommend exploring the city by bike. The room had a great view and the bathroom was superb. After five days it was really hard to leave the place - we will definitely come back and won't stay somewhere else!

Absolutely nothing!

Fantastic views from both of the rooms we booked. We could see the sunset from the bed. The size of the room is good for NYC. The location is good, in close proximity to NYU and easy walk to many other neighborhoods.

The only thing missing is an in-room coffee maker but the cappuccinos from the Cafe downstairs make up for it.
