40 bucs in manhattan ...it is what it is bed and a shower if thats all you need i defy you find cheaper in manhattan ...40 bucs ...

I ended up partying for 7 days straight and did not check in to the hotel at all for my 2 night stay. The reviews looks terrifying so maybe I dodged a bullet.

I tried checking into the hotel one night at 4.30am and the door was locked with no staff. I did not expect to find staff at that time of the night, to be honest.

Very good experience from the staff, they are kind and generous people and they gave me food when I didn't have it for free! always ready to help, especially Michael! excellent person! the room will be small but the employees are very good people! there are 3 bathrooms so you will always be able to go calmly to bathe or whatever .. excellent

Staffs are very friendly, helpful and kind. During new year time, all rooms in Manhattan are expensive, and the price here is the lowest among all. I had read some comments before I arrived here. I was very worried about bugs and insecurity. In fact, I stayed here five nights, and didn’t see bugs. I suggest throwing the trash in the hall trash can after finishing your food, just in case the bugs appear. And the homeless people at hall actually did not bother guests. It’s winter time, I don’t mind homeless people staying at hall since it’s cold outside, just as long as they do not harass the guests.

It’s hard to avoid the noise made by other guest. Earplugs may help. And you may see stains which can not be wiped off on sheet or blanket. Probably they are a little bit old. Finally, it’s a little bit cold in the room, better to cover your body with a coat.

New York is a challenging urban environment and exremely expensive, and this little old hotel on the lower Eastside, on Bowery, quite reminiscent of an oriental establishment, is about as good a deal as anyone on a tight budget can expect. Everything necessary is provided, there are good clean bathrooms with plentiful hot water, and the staff and longer-term guests are quite accommodating. It's a nice hour's walk up Broadway to Times Square, and lots to see and do on the way.

For the price in New York, it's basic but quite satisfactory.

Very well located hotel. The rooms are very small but being 4 nights was cheaper than one single night anywhere else, I am blessed such hotel exist very central located downtown New York. I couldn’t have been able to afford the trip otherwise. Thank you for existing. Quick check in and check out. Friendly staff. Safe location. Clean bed sheets.

Would be nice to have Shower gel and shampoo hangers in the showers.

I ve stayed in this hotel a couple of years ago. Came back this year for a night. The cheapest one you can get in Manhattan probably and have your own room. Rooms are really small kinda capsule spaces with no windows... The staff is friendly, rooms are clean.

Noisy enough cause the ceiling is not we can imagine it, so you can hear everything going on in other rooms. I slept with earplugs. Not sure if the sheets were changed for my arrival, didn't look fresh. The toilets , showers can be dirty by the second part of the day.

Great location. It was actually a lot cleaner this trip than when I stayed earlier this year. No roaches and no bedbugs. I smelled some faint vinegar so I know they are spraying for the bugs. Other guests were relatively quiet. This is the cheapest place to stay in Manhattan. Even the hostels cost twice as much.

This place is a great value for solo travelers. Don’t expect luxury.

Hotel location can not be more great, in the heart of NYC downtown with access to busses, trains, subways, etc. Room is good enough for one person who wants just to drop asleep for couple of nights, for a cheap price. WIFI is very fast with different bands. Bathrooms are shared, some sort of clean, and are good enough for a quick shower. You get for what you pay, and this hotel offers very high money value given the price.

Mainly, it is the ceiling of the room. It is not a concrete one, it is like a net so all sounds will be clearly heard in your room. Stay away if you can not sleep in noise or when hearing clearly people walking or talking outside. Room is also very small but again very sufficient for a single person sleep. Still, stay away, if you would like to work in the room, or do any other activities except sleeping. Otherwise, everything is great!

location is excellent the train from Jamaica station take u direct there on the j train ride for 50 mins was simple 20 min walk to brooklyn Bridge and 911 memorial highly recommend for the price rooms are small but does the job take ear plugs ass you can here people snoring the best part of hotel was the shower its boiling hot and for a budget room this is what u want would stay again

there was sum bugs on the bedding but apart from that was OK for a 2 day stay
