Hotel on Rivington

The staff was very friendly and welcoming, it was in a great location in the East Village, the continental breakfast was a nice plus that we were not aware of, nice social gathering areas.

While this boutique hotel was more than adequate, the bathrooms could use some updating.

We loved the beds! Very comfortable. In fact, some of the most comfortable beds we've slept on at hotels. Would have loved the King sized but had to go with 2 doubles. We loved the view! So glad we stayed on the 14th floor off the street, instead of 5th floor in the back of building! Very similar street noise quotient. But the view is super cool! We visit friends and family on the Lower East Side so the location is fantastic for us. And the LES keeps growing with more fun stores and restaurants, so it is a great place to be. Not too far from Broadway, about a 1/2 hour to walk a bit and then on the subway. The staff, the doormen and all are really nice, very amenable to all your needs. We enjoyed the grab and go breakfast treats- yummy croissants and coffee!

The rooms are a little small but not a big deal because we weren't in it too much except for sleeping. The tub/shower was okay, not great. A bit small. I would have preferred a shower stall instead of a small tub with shower deal. Some of the rooms do have the walk-in stalls but we happened to get one with a small tub and shower. The mini fridge was a nice touch but loud. Our toilet ran occasionally throughout our stay but not that troubling.

Our Corner King Studio was spacious, clean and comfortable with excellent views from all rooms - including the shower. As many others have said, the bed was excellent. The Grab n Go breakfast suited our needs perfectly. Aircon was outstanding during the very hot week we were there.

Being charged twice for taxes (the second time upon departure). It was refunded but that took some effort. If taxes are pre-paid, bring an easily accessible copy (which is on your Booking.com app). Also - Booking.com was very helpful in sorting this out.

Excellent location, in four stops you are uptown, in the evening there are many places to choose from to dine and listen to music. The room really big, a rarity in Manhattan, the beds are comfortable, a big shower with a great water jet

what I would improve, are in the small precautions. They have bathrooms with mosaics, it happens that someone comes off and it doesn't take much to fix it.

Room was nice, comfortable enough, secure, cooling system worked fine, excellent view and wonderful bathtub and shower. The staff was absolutely excellent and very responsive.

Small areas for improvement. The halls are quite dark/ poorly lit. The entertainment system offered few choices. If ice is available, I did not see where (nor did I ask). The room was quite expensive and a bit starkly decorated though adequate. The bed was comfortable but too low to the ground for my liking. We only stayed a single night and I did not require parking. I will certainly recommend.

I loved how accommodating and friendly the staff was. the room (1603) had a wonderful view of the city! The hotels location was perfect. So much to do just in that area. Bars, eateries, a little shopping, u name it…! This will def be on our list of great hotel stays for NYC.

There was nothing that I didn’t like about the hotel. it could use a little updating and minor repairs but overall it wasn’t enough to interfere with our stay.

it was such a lovely memory to stay at Hotel on Rivington, it is quite beautiful architecture and designed . the rooms are all with glass , once you pull the curtains you have amazing view of Manhattan city view , the room that I was staying spacious and the bed was super comfy. there were a complimentary Argentian wine in the room which I enjoyed throughout my 2 days stay . what makes this hotel far more enjoyable than the other 3-4 hotel I stayed in different neighborhoods of Newyork city during my last trip , was a lady working on reception , her name is Martha, she is originally from Armenia and such beautiful lady with lovely smile and and great host . she has this bright smile on her face and every morning when I was leaving the hotel seeing her bright smile and positive energy made my day😍, it was such a pleasure to chat with her for a few minutes and start day. I also met one of her colleagues, I believe she was front dest Menager her name was Allison ( I am not sure if I spelled correctly:) she was also very helpful and great host with a great attitude. in the end you only remember the feelings that the hotel you stay made you, not how spacious room was or decoration. personal touch and a big bright smile in the reception quite enough to make the stay memorable and pleasant. will be looking forward to stay in this beautiful hotel surrounded with bell ice cafes and shops in lower east side of Manhattan 👍🙏😍

The room and view was superb. You’re provided with robes, Chardonnay, comfy bed and clean space. Very friendly staff as well and in a location that was walking distance to a lot of cool restaurants, coffee shops, and Duane Reade The bathroom is very nice with a spa tub that allows you to extend fully, in addition to a standing shower with a view of the city. There’s also a cellar, gym, and restaurant (currently undergoing renovations, but should be open soon) on the property

Room didn’t have a microwave

Space, staff, bed comfort. At about 325 square feet, the unit was spacious and comfortable. The staff was very responsive and helpful. The bed was firm. The complimentary breakfast was a nice way to start the day.

safe was defective - staff had to drill the safe open to retrieve an i-pad. small, white substance seem to settle on bathroom vanity and throughout the main unit. It is possible this substance came from the ductwork when the heat was on. Ductwork should be examined to determine whether it needs to be cleaned. The bathroom window needed a privacy curtain.
