Our second stay at the Ludlow. We had a very great experience the last time and even much research for a new hotel this time we came back to the Ludlow. The People here are very friendly and helpfull, always a pleasure to stay here. The Room this time was larger than expected with a complete seating area inside. Also an awesome view from the balcony over New York City. 100% Recommendation.

Of course the price is very spicy.

Staff were accommodating and granted us early check-in and late check-out which was super helpful. Bed felt like a cloud! Beautiful bathroom. Location was excellent and within walking distance of our favourite shops, bars, restaurants, etc.

The staff at The Ludlow were incredibly friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, warm and accommodating. The decor is stunning. The location is great for NY eats, nightlife and transport across the city. You’re never really too far from anywhere. It’s a short walk across the bridge to Brooklyn. Hence why we probably didn’t make the most use out of the hotels facilities.

The rooms are quite small and don’t have a lot of storage. Also, complimentary water isn’t restocked daily. So you either have to hope for the kindness of front desk staff (who were always kind tbf), buy from the minibar or go round the corner to a store.

The room had been well maintained or restored in the vintage style of era in which it was built (40s I assume?) Room size was generous, with a nice sitting area, great view and a cozy veranda.

It was a bit confusing finding the entrance. When you arrive there is a "The Ludlow" office building right next to it that also looks like it might be a high end hotel entrance, but they posted a sign in there "NOT the hotel" as I guess this is a common point of confusion.

Staff was super helpful, the rooms well equipped and the location and roof view from the gym excellent. We also got rooms located very close as we requested and the neighborhood atmosphere was electric.

However, the rooms were the exactly opposite of spacious and the food offerings pricy. But guess that's NYC. Also Ludlow Street gets loud on Fri and Sat so would have been nice to be higher up than 4th floor travelling with a small child. However, none of the downsides were really downsides or would stop us from returning to The Ludlow.

I don’t usually splurge for hotels this expensive, but it was totally worth it. The „mini studios“ are indeed very small (you will have to squeeze yourself past the bed in order to get to the chairs), but they’re beautiful and very cozy. Super comfortable mattress and pillows. The view is fantastic. Loved the little bistro table at the window. Room service is excellent, the staff very friendly and helpful.

A little more shelf space and a simple coat hook in the main room would be great.

I loved everything about it. The skybox loft was great the views were nice, no amazing sights but the panoramic views and sunrise were nice. THE PILLOWS were so nice god, soap was so lovely! Bathroom was so wonderful. Location was in the coolest place in town, clubs nice food. great vibes. Rooftop access was nice oh there’s so much to love. I wish I lived here.

Prices are a little steep, staff was well… “very New York friendly” windows were a little dirty, curtains were a a little dusty, but seriously it’s such a nice room. I really didn’t mind anything…. Elevators were a little slow… that I minded…

beautifully designed property : cool, but not pretentious. Desk staff were excellent : friendly and so helpful. Bar staff could be friendlier but they were overworked and need another colleague when busy to help. So, give them a break here.

lifts can take forever to arrive / get to reception. it’s a beautiful old NY building. Some people visibly frustrated , but we were content as it is was it is. Rather small room, but very large bathroom. Fine for one person, not for two. So, if a couple don’t get the basic room it won’t work.

The location was a little too busy for me, but the staff is really nice hotel is pretty the room is very dark I love the company that owns Ludlow & Hotel Chelsea & James Soho. Very good customer service & great staff!

The room was so dark & choppy but they also were very booked with all the kids going back to college and they didn’t have the room that I really needed to accommodate my family.

Loved our stay in the Ludlow, comfortable rooms and for NYC standards size is OK, great design, fun lobby for drinks, and location is great, walk around east village or Soho and close to subway stop. Good Gym + nice views from rooftop. We thought it was also very quiet for NYC. Slept really well

Food in the restaurant is very medium and expensive, would go somewhere else in town.
