Adorable unique boutique hotel. Charming staff. Huge, fabulous room.

No safe in room. Even though we were top floor (6th) and ex-NY’ers (aka used to street noise)…. the street noise was quite loud. And it’s right over a club that has thumping bass and tunes til 3-4am. They do leave earplugs in rooms for you, but it was tough to fall/stay asleep.

A beautiful boutique hotel with a great history the very talented owner will be happy to share. Everyone was charming, welcoming and full of attentions and good tips. The room was big, modern and very confortable. The wifi worked great and i truly recommend the neighborhood, full of life, close to the subway and lot's of great places to eat.

great space, beautiful balcony, great location and awesome history. I like that it is family owned and operated - I thought everyone was extremely friendly and helpful.

The hotel manager was very nice and was there nearly at all times, the bed was huge and very comfortable and the location was amazing.

The place wasn't very clean, we had to rewash all of the dishes and the towels weren't very clean as well. Also, room service didn't show up to our room once during the entire stay (8 nights).

We love that the hotel was close to everything we needed to go to!

An historic building beautifully renovated, large room with balcony, very comfortable bed and ideal location. The team is very nice and very helpful.

Took my grandson for a special birthday. We had the best time in NYC made even better by the comfort and charm of the Sohpie Tucker room ! Charming in everyway and the balcony and view a plus. Bathroom was immaculate and the beds and linens comfortable and spotless. Large TV with all the channels and we were as happy as can be. Wished our stay was longer so we could have enjoyed the cafe area. Thanks to all the friendly staff felt welcome and safe. Will stay there everytime I visit NYC now on.

The atmosphere was great. Staff were very hospitable and knowledgeable. I felt very safe and comfortable in both the hotel and the neighborhood. There was someone in the hotel 24 hours a day.

One staff member was a bit out of the loop on a few things. Room heat controlled by a master device which was a bit confusing for him but together we figured it out. He was helpful in scheduling our airport pick up.

The room is wonderful: really big and nicely decorated with a window that opened a small balcony with a table and two chairs. The view from the balcony was New York buildings and leafy green trees. Beautiful. Staff were kind and helpful and fun to talk to. Neighborhood is great with amazing restaurants and shops all around. Easy access to subway lines just a 2 minute walk.

we loved the hotel. It has old school charm, with a very cozy atmosphere. Dovid was quite helpful and kind, and Randy possesses a wealth of knowledge about the history of the building and it’s transformation. They also have authentic Italian cuisine that’s underestimated but should not be overlooked! Everything and everyone was absolutely wonderful! will definitely be going back!
