Courtyard by Marriott New York Manhattan / Soho

Room and Hotel cleanliness was exceptional. Central location, could walk everywhere. Room was smaller (not huge) but we didn't come to nycity to stay in the room. Staff was helpful and courteous. There is a mini fridge, ironing board and iron and air filter in the room. Good room rate since I found on booking.com.

Location of some rooms in front of hotel are facing the line of cars waiting for the Holland Tunnel, therefore during busy hours there is a little more honking of horns and revving of the engines. Despite our room location it was still pretty quiet for a nycity room (horn honking, ambulance sirens,...). We brought sound machines to drown out the noise (in case) and ear plugs. Wish I had investigated or knew of the discounted parking garage prior to parking in a different garage, oh well that is my fault.

Excellent design with adequate storage. Strategic lighting. Splendid, drenching shower in bathroom which was equipped with a well-weatherstripped door so that I could shower or flush the toilet without disturbing my late-sleeping wife. Effective and quiet HVAC system. Workstation desk with excellent chair. Bed and bedclothes were splendid.

Another compact or folding chair would have been nice for in-room dining. A small microwave would nicely complement the spacious refrigerator. Elevators would skip our floor.

The location was perfect for what we needed. We didn't use the train, but the station was less than a block away. We were even able to find street parking right in front of the hotel. The hotel and the room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and it was perfect for our girl's trip.

We had some issues with billing and splitting the costs between two credit cards, but it was resolved quickly when we brought it to the attention of the front desk staff.

We reserved a room with a pull out bed. It was there and in the wardrobe cabinet there was a plastic bag with all the bedding necessary. We liked that there was ice and filtered water available. The staff was super friendly.

Sometimes the wait times for the elevators seemed long.

Location was excellent. Close to NYU, great restaurants, metro station, and the staff was willing to go out of their way to meet our needs for ice, cups, utensils, etc..

Sadly, there’s homeless in the area, like many other areas. We were somewhat harassed by a homeless man on our way out of the hotel while we waited for our transportation, who insisted we give him some money. I had no cash and it made the situation uncomfortable for my family. I do recommend the hotel hire security or some sort of patron support by the staff while waiting outside the hotel.

The location is good, one building away from the subway exit! The front desk was very nice! There is a morning-only Starbucks store right in the back of the lobby, and it's cheaper!

I left my I-phone charging and couldn't find it when going back after 2 days...

Practical location for SoHo & West Village. Typical Courtyard Marriott.

Street noise is quite bothersome, even though the windows do appear to be double-paned. Bed was never made. Way overpriced for this hotel category.

Some hotels in Manhattan are really threadbare, worn down, this was not the case here. the location is really great fir being close to the 1 train / Houston and being able to walk to dozens of shops and restaurants. also great to have a Starbucks in the lobby.

it’s a little pricey for a Marriott. but consistent for the neighborhood.

Staff was exceptional. Led by Sharon at front desk and all others too. very helpful and cheerful always esp in these times. provided us with whatever help they could. as dining & kitchen was closed but dining area tables & chairs were available for our own food and microwave was provided. special thanks to Lara, the propery GM was kind enough to arrange for a tea/coffee maker also which we used in our room. location was fantastic - walking distance to Washinton Sq park, 50 mts from Subway (though we never used the Subway this time), 10 min walk to Hudson river area and so many shops around the area for food, shopping etc. Housekeeping staff was so efficinet and quick in picking up trash, providing fresh towels/sheets/linen etc when needed..front office staff smiling and provided paper plates, cups, paper napkins etc. Overall 11/10 to them for the excellent service espcially during these challenging times!

i loved the soundproof rom since my friends were being very loud at 4am after a long night out really close to most bars and the subway is around the corner the same subway can take you straight to penn its a straight line.
