Staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. Rooms were recently redecorated so it gad that newness feeling.

Our toilet made a horrific screaming sound in the middle of the night and early morning. They sent an engineer but it didn’t fix the issue. Was impossible to sleep. We booked this hotel for the roof bar, but it was barely open. Only opened at 530pm. Such a waste. It was over-run by young people and a very loud DJ. Not quite the rooftop bar experience we were after!

Superb location. Edge of Soho. Next to Canal Street express subway. Cute coffee bars and boutique shops. Fairly chilled. Hotel is at a great price point. Won't find anything close in a decent part of Manhattan. Staff charming. Lots of little corners to the hotel - different bars, eateries. Rooms quite sleek and intentionally simple. Don't come to NYC to stay in your room. Nice bar and restaurant options. Nice vibe overall. Decent music. Little touches that give it personality. Cookies at the front. Nice front of house/doormen. Guests are all fairly moneyed without being rich enough to drop more than $500 a night for several nights, so this as a $350-400 option picks up a bunch of fairly refined guests. Generally feels like a pretty premium product at a manageable price. Gave us a nice late checkout which was appreciated. I know NYC well and have stayed in various places. I will be returning here and am recommending it to my friends.

Rooms intentionally scaled back. If you're a business traveller you'll likely need to check if there's a proper chair and desk. We had a little table and a sofa. Fine for us but couldn't work in the room. Having said that, the bar is a nice place to work

My recent stay at this hotel was an incredible experience, largely due to the exceptional service provided by the staff. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the warmest welcome from the wonderful woman at the front desk. She went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable, surprising us with a very big free room upgrade and even giving us a tour of the facilities despite being busy. Her helpfulness extended beyond our check-in process, as she was always available to answer any questions we had throughout our stay. The room itself was stunning, with breathtaking views made even better by the upgraded corner suite. Prior to our arrival, I had contacted the hotel for help with securing a difficult dinner reservation, and Anthony made it happen for us with ease. His thoughtful gesture of sending us a wonderful handwritten note and complimentary bottle of sparkling upon arrival was a lovely touch that further enhanced our experience. The rooftop bar is a must-visit, and the restaurant bar offers an impressive array of drinks and bites that are not to be missed. In addition to the excellent service we received from the front desk and bar staff, the doormen were also incredibly friendly and helpful, providing us with umbrellas for the day and offering to hold our luggage after we checked out so that we could continue to explore the city. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious and unforgettable experience. The outstanding service we received from the staff truly made our stay a memorable one.

Absolutely nothing.

We loved our stay at Modernhaus soho. Attention to detail, cleanliness, discreet and attentive staff, good quality amenities and no carpet (which, along with the view, was the main reason we chose this place). Beds are really comfortable so imo sleep won't be an issue. View from the rooftop terrace is to die for. Veranda restaurant is great, can't recommend enough. Subway stops to just about anywhere

We booked a skyline corner king room and had views of soho and a little of downtown skyline, but mostly offices so, given the choice, do get as much of a higher floor as you can. Also, be aware that it's close to hudson tunnel so there are noisy intersections in the area with heavy traffic. Didn't bother us as this is NY, but keep in mind in case you sleep light.

Great location close to nice bars, restaurants and shopping in Soho. The staff were really nice and the restaurant / bars on site were really good. The rooftop pool and bar is nice and it gets pretty busy at night on the weekend which was convenient. (you can’t hear anything from your room which is good if that’s not your thing). We really enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

The pool was much smaller than the photos and it closes pretty early. You can’t really swim there on the weekend later in the day because it transforms into more of a rooftop pool bar. The restaurant and drinks were expensive but it was really nice.

We were so happy with our view, it was super. We found the room was a bit small, but ok. The breakfast room upstairs was lovely. It was a wonderful place to just sit and have tea! We also had a wonderful lunch in the Veranda restaurant, and had a chance to sit in a tent (I can't remember what it was called), which was so cool!

I would have preferred a desk instead of a sofa, as the sofa was under the TV, so we never used it. Also, there are NO DRAWERS & SHELVES in the closet. This was definitely a disappointment, as it was hard to arrange our clothes.

Room was exactly how I expected. Amazing views and felt very quiet in the room. The area was lively and a load of places to eat in the area and great for walking to various neighbourhoods plus near the subway to get further afield. The rooftop pool/bar area is lovely too - the views again, a real bonus.

Can't fault the hotel at all. But location wise, I would say the Canal Street side of the hotel feels a little iffy/less safe than others at night time. Soho on the whole is pretty grubby but that's just something to be aware of and just part of how it is to be in such a lively area.

Very comfy bed, clean sheets well starched, great view and windows, interesting layout with glass wall for bathroom, extra towels upon request showed up very promptly. Restaurant was delicious (Veranda), but the bars were extremely loud --like dance music loud. Breakfast (Jumping Jacks) was good, prompt, and great service.

While I liked that there was no rug/carpet, a mopping of the floor would have been great. It remained slightly dirty. No iron (only steamer), and no make up/shaving mirror. These can be easily fixed. Also, a bedspread would be nice so we dont have to lie on the fresh sheets when coming home from outside.
