Best Western Plus Soho Hotel

This hotel is really a hidden gem in NYC. Price/quality, you wouldn't find much better. The location was great, with the metro just around the corner. The hotel was very clean, the room was spacious. And enough variation in the breakfast buffet. But the best part were the staff. Every single staff member will do anything to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Many luxery hotels can learn from them. I was supposed to stay at the Hilton instead of this one. But cause price discussion during booking, I cancelled my booking at Hilton, I even asked them to erase my membership (which I better didn't do it, cause Best Western will match your membership from other hotels!!) Never step foot again in a Hilton.

Although the variation in breakfast was good. Would have love seen the possibility to have a boiled egg... :-) And the room was very spacious, but I was missing a closet for my clothes. But I guess you can't have it all. Other than that, everything was just top

The Hotel has been open for only two weeks. It sparkles! The fixtures and decor have a high end feel. Room lighting was great. The window treatments were were black out and solar shades to filter and block light. Bed was very comfortable. Staff friendly and welcoming. I would definitely stay here again as a Downtown value option.

Just stayed there for 9 nights as a couple and being aware that this is Manhattan and space is expensive: the room is certainly not spacious, but pleasant and functional. The bed is comfortable. We slept well every night. The room was kept clean on a daily basis. Breakfast was not overwhelming but good - appreciated the orange juice. And being able to make use of that common space throughout the day was helpful. The coffee machine in the lobby was a life saver as well. Staff was very friendly and helpful. So given that you don’t come to New York to stay in your room longer than necessary this is a really good choice: it hooks you up with the basics very well and provides a very good starting point to explore the city! The room and the whole hotel are clean, comfortable, the staff is very nice and helpful. The breakfast met our expectations - there was a decent selection of hot salty and sweet breakfast (eggs, sausages, or waffles), cereals and müsli, yogurts, pastries. The location is good, on the border of China Town, but mainly on the subway and within walking distance to several different subway lines. You can walk comfortably through the Financial district to where the ferry goes to the Statue of Liberty, or to the bridges. We really appreciated the possibility to leave our luggage at the hotel after check-out, when we still went for a walk around the city. Overall we really enjoyed our stay.

There was no wardrobe in the room to store clothes, only a drawer under one of the beds (the other had a safe, good). For a week's stay it meant living in a luggage, uncomfortable. In the bathroom, the toilet was wobbly and the seat did not fit properly. It's stupid, but actually an unnecessary inconvenience that can undoubtedly be easily fixed. And would be nice to put this little mirror you can pull closer, because like this is very uncomfortable to put any make-up as the mirror is behind a very large sink. Overall the room was very spartan but adequate. The window faced the courtyard, so no interesting view but humming ventilation instead , on the other hand it made the room quite quiet with the window closed.

The hotel is brand new, spotless clean,, very comfortable and staff are amazing, friendly, happy and couldn't do enough for us. We stayed 5 nights , our rooms were cleaned every night. Breakfast was a bonus, something food wise for everybody, very clean and organised restaurant. Only a short walk to the subway, 3 stops to times square, one stop to brookyln Bridge. Felt like a home from home in NYC, will definitely be back. Well done to everyone on the team, whatever you are doing is working, never lose the friendly, kind, and helpful attitude. Nothing, everything was great ! The location is city centre with everything that brings in any city .

Clean, spacious room, modern facilities, good gym, GREAT BREAKFAST!

The neighbourhood is slightly “dubious” at night (more than its fair share of individuals are arguing with themselves). Our room was very noisy due to the noisy aircon units on the roof of adjacent building. On day 2 we realised that our window mechanism wasn’t working so it didn’t close properly which would have helped a lot. We requested it be repaired but unfortunately this didn’t happen during the remaining 3 days of our stay.

We were in 3rd floor, and it was very noisy!

Breakfast was a fantastic selection, in a relatively small space there was a great range of hot and cold food, healthy food, waffle machine, and lots more! The free tea and coffee in reception was very much appreciated too. The rooms were kept very clean, and housekeeping were great. The room had a little fridge which was great for keeping cool drinks.

The only point that may bother other travellers is the room size - there is not a wardrobe in the room but it did not impact on the enjoyment as there are hangers and drawers provided which are more than sufficient.

Great location close to Canal st station, Soho, Chinatown. New and very clean, nice staff, cool room design, big smart TV, room size OK for NY, nice shower with good pressure, coffee machine in room, comfortable bed, good value for money

Noisy; lots of street noise from the room facing the street on 2nd floor, but also the insulation is not good and you can hear the other rooms doors shutting down VERY loudly, and the neighbours. Also, a minor point but they don't replenish coffee pods when you stay several days, you have to ask and they seemed very surprised when I did.
