Henn na Hotel New York

It is a clean and comfortable hotel, in a great location near main transportation and close to the main attractions, by foot or using train stations within walking distance ( we arrived at the hotel by train also, as the station is less than 5 minutes walk). The area felt safe, and we returned with no worries after a night out. The beds are super comfortable, and the room was cleaned daily by a great team who was very helpful. The reception people were always available and could help us when needed. Below are three coffee and bagels places we enjoyed as a great breakfast. I would return.

Japanese hotel chain, amazing location - could not be better! You are 5 minutes walking from Macy's, Rockfeller, Madison Square Garden, Hudson Yards, Rockfeller, etc, etc., also 2 minutes from 34th metro station, that connects you everywhere. It's a brand new hotel, what is always positive. In general staff was friendly and available.

In our case the AC in the room was old and really noisy. We were told it will be changed in the future but for now was a bit disturbing as it was super cold so we could not turn it off. You can't open the window of the room (we were on 12th floor) - maybe it's a regulation? But would be good to air the room when you stay 4 people for 1 week..

I like the location, close to Penn station and Times square. Hotel was very quiet. Bed was very comfortable. And the slippers were nice to have, as well as the hot pot for tea. The bidet was a surprise but ended up being a plus too!

There was a slightly musty odor. I think one small comfy chair to sit in would be beneficial. There was only a hard desk/table chair or the bed to sit one. A little too sparse. One other thing is it would be nice to have a lower bed light so one can read while another can sleep for us paperback readers :)

Location is near so many train lines, Penn Station, and Times Square so it really is central to a lot of transportation options. The front desk staff were super accommodating and friendly. There are some luggage lockers in the lobby where they will happily hold your luggage if you need. The room (stayed in a deluxe single king) is HUGE for nyc midtown. If you have never stayed in a midtown hotel before, these rooms are easily almost double the size of a typical room in the area. The bed was super comfortable, even asked them what kind it was because it was easily the most luxurious feeling bed I have experienced in a midtown non-luxury hotel! The bathrooms all have Toto toilets which have heated seats and bidet controls and this alone makes the experience worth it (hah). Shower had amazing water pressure and wonderful full amenities by C.O. Bigelow. There was an LG Styler steam closet which was incredible: it refreshes clothing and steams wrinkles out. The room itself has no art which felt peaceful and the tv had streaming capability. There were no closets or cupboards for clothing but whatever, there were hangers for clothes and a rack and some shelves (also you have a steam closet to make things look great again anyway). I will take a large room with a great bed and awesome amenities over tons of storage any-day. Another plus is there is a great bagel place literally almost next door to the hotel and other food options nearby. I Door-dashed food to the hotel one night and that worked well too.

No real cons for the room or hotel. I have stayed at quite a few midtown hotels that were more expensive that weren’t as clean or nicely appointed. For the price this place cannot be beat! That said, it’s midtown west which has always been grunge-y since the 80s. Be aware at all times basically. It’s not the hotels fault regarding the area! Also I will take being near so many trains over being isolated.

My wife and I really enjoyed staying here. It was perfect! Stayed here for a weekend getaway for Valentines Day. Hotel was 1 block away from train station and 4 blocks away from Times Square. The hotel staff was very friendly. We accidentally left our tooth brush at home. They gave us both new packs. They also provided us with guess passes for free to Plant fitness across the street. Breakfast shop next door was the best ever. We will continue to stay at this hotel when visiting New York! Nice little hidden spot in the big city. Thank you so much for everything.

This hotel is perfectly located near all the main attractions in central Manhattan, which we could reach simply by walking. The facilites and the cleanliness are top notch. The cost was advantageous compared to its competitors. The communication before arrival, via the Booking chat, was great and helpful. The fact that they offer the possibility of using a fitness center just across the street is a nice touch. The japanese restaurant in the main floor is really good, however quite expensive. We spent 6 nights and we're really happy about our choice!

The friendliness of some of the staff could be better, notably from Mister W. in the reception. They asked us 100$ to book a taxi from JKF airport, which we thought was way too expensive. No breakfast option.

The price is reasonable in downtown NYC. The staff is very friendly. My friend dropped her phone through the tinny crack between the bed and the wall, and the staff helped us to get it out with his self-made tool. And the location of the hotel is close to the theaters. Btw, we love the Japanese restaurant Gosuke on the ground floor, it's nice to have a try with the 20% discount offered by the hotel.

It would be better if there's bottled water or a kettle in the room.

Good location, modern room design, fridge and safe provided. Spacious room. Staff were helpful when needed. No issues with luggage storage for the day after checkout. About a 1 min walk to Penn Station so easy to get around on the metro if required.

Air conditioning was a little too noisy to leave on overnight. Kettle provided but no tea bags or milk. Rooms facing the street at lower levels may suffer from noise from local establishments (didn’t bother me, but was noted on two occurrences. I was on 6th floor facing the street). The sushi restaurant wasn’t for me, but that’s personal preference and I knew about this when I booked.

Great location. Hotel staff was great and very responsive.

AC/Heating unit was a bit loud, water pressure could be better, and the water was either too hot or cold.

the hotel newly renovated, it was very clean w a eye catch Dino at front. But the best thing about the hotel was the people there. Always good vibes and helpful w beautiful smiles made us at home. Maria, Jennifer, David, other front desk, maintance people.

Wish there was a mirror in the room besides bathroom. didn’t look for it, but cause of pandemic, didn’t request daily maid service, wish had trash shooter or collect in the floor. it will nice to have couple extra bags in trash bins, so we can toss frequently. also for long stay, leave couple extra paper supplies in bathrooms rather calling every time.
