We had room 218 - it faced a roof top - which was fine. The room was studio size, so we kept our luggage on the couch. King size bed, a bit on the firm side for me. We had our own mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. We were provided additional pillows, and Body Wash Refills, which I requested using the Bonvoy App. We were on the 2nd floor, which was perfect as we used the stairs instead of the elevator. There was a hot Buffet Breakfast every morning until 11:00 a.m. It included 2 types of Eggs, Sausage Patties, Oatmeal, Waffles (assorted toppings), Breads, Muffins, Bagels, Toast, Donuts, Bananas, Oranges, Cut Up Fruit, Yogurts, Coffee, Fruit Juices. Sometimes cut up Meats and Cheese. Certainly enough choice for even the pickiest of eaters! On the Weekends, you get a free small glass of wine (Red or White), or a glass of Beer during Happy Hour. I'd like to recognize 2 Employees that went above an beyond during our stay. Rhonda - who was able to link my Marriot Bonvoy Account to our booking, as well as direct me to Robert - General Operations. I had booked in person tickets to the Rockettes Christmas Spectacular, and never received a confirmation email with the tickets. Robert took me into the Breakfast area, and used his cell number to call RCMH Customer Service. After a 45+ minute hold time, I was connected to a Representative, who advised me that my email address had been entered incorrectly. After making 2 corrections, she re-send the email. I received it within 30 minutes, and was able to add my tickets to my Google Wallet - crisis averted! Both Rhonda and Robert were very congenial, and we interacted with them many times. Overall all, I Highly Recommend this Hotel for anyone visiting NYC. We were about a 15 minute walk to Times Square, Subway stations were around the block. Also very close to Madison Square Gardens. TIP - Arrange transportation to LGA with the Hotel - $65.00 for both of us and all our Luggage.

The doors are really loud when people are entering/leaving the rooms. The 2 elevators are very small, and there was always a wait/ line up to get on them. I only used them if I was carrying stuff in both hands. I wish, in future, that Booking.com provides the FULL daily rate as well as the COMPLETE Invoice when providing Hotels, Dates, Rooms, etc. Next time. I'll read the fine print more carefully, and factor in the additional charges when I make a future booking. When I booked, I was UNAWARE that there was an Occupancy Tax ($2.00/day), a NY Sales Tax ($19.88/day), a City Tax ($3.16/day), and Javits Centre Tax ($1.50/day). These extra charges daily were $26.54, or an additional $185.78 USD). We are Canadian, so that was approximately an additional $250.00 CAD.

The hotel is nice with a cozy bar and lobby. During our visit, there was a happy hour every day from 5 to 6 PM with live music. The room was not large but we had enough space for two persons. The room is clean and modernly furnished with a small desk and a bench to sit. The bathroom and shower are modern. The bed is comfortable. There was also a coffee machine, ironing board and iron, and a safety deposit box. There is also a fitness room. The breakfast was good and fairly extensive.

This hotel has no dinner options for the evening, however there are plenty of restaurants nearby.

Central Manhattan location was good and hotel was within walking distance of Times Square and Empire State Building and a slightly longer walk to mid-town pier and Central Park. Penn Stadion was nearby which had access to the subway and there were also places to eat locally. The room was compact, bed was comfortable and housekeeping was done daily. The hotel foyer was a good size and had tables and chairs to sit and eat and play cards etc. There was some attempt made at recycling. We were able to leave our luggage for the day after we checked out and the staff were helpful in getting us a taxi. The breakfast was good and from 7am to 11am which was great.

The local neighbourhood around the hotel had a number of homeless people apparently living in doorways who were openly smoking crack pipes. There was a lot of plastic waste generated by breakfast and takeaway meals. Breakfast was a bit chaotic and the croissants tended to run out before breakfast finished. They took a $50 per room per night deposit from my credit card at the start of our stay which I was not aware they were going to do but they refunded it after we checked out.

Location is great! Everything close by" Times Square, Empire state, High line, Macy's.Take the train to Penn station, next block Amtrak station or bus Port Authority very easy from Newark airport for example. Buy a 7 day subway pass! Several lines within a few blocks! Very nice staff, sure busy hotel but everything works with a bit of patience. Never seen a hotel who restocks the breakfast so fast great work guys! AC broke down but fixed within 20 minutes by Victor great guy! Room was superclean we checked it housekeeping does a great work. Billed same price as booking after checking out, before reserved with a little higher probably a deposit. Laundry machines in basement you can work out after walking around 8 hours a day :) Room size is OK as European :) Best experience was Fly Nyon open doors helicopter ride.

Elevators are busy at breakfast but there are stairs also :)

Good bed, TV and shower. The room was clean and of decent size for NY standards. Excellent location.

Breakfast could be better - some fruit options would be appreciated instead of the 5 different sugar-filled "cereal" types. Also, the bar that serves espresso opens only in the afternoon, which means that for breakfast one can only get the drip coffee-flavoured water. Finally, sngle-use plastic cutlery is disappointing to see in a hotel that is apparently trying to be greener. Also a water fountain / bottle-filling station would be appreciated.

We absolutely loved the hotel. The staff, including Jeffrey, Christian with the Mohawk, Ryan at the check-in desk and Daniel the security guard all were amazing from the moment we walked in the door until the moment we left. The room was perfectly adequate for us although I can see where people travelling with large suitcases might find the rooms small. But they were clean and kept clean by the friendly domestic staff. And furthermore, in a city like New York, how much time do you want to spend in your room!! Breakfast was kept stocked up and had plenty of options. We might have travelled in a quieter period but there was always plenty of space to sit. Some comments on this site have been about the poor lift situation, and yes, with only two lifts you can wait from time to time but we were more than happy to walk the stairs to our room despite being on the ninth floor. We might have had to stop occasionally though! Overall it was a perfect stay within walking distance of many attractions. We would definitely stay here again in the future! And finally, the free happy hour from 17:00-18:00 daily was a perfect added bonus.

This is no fault of the hotel or staff but with a significant amount of cannabis shops in the vicinity of the hotel some areas feel a little uncomfortable from time to time especially at night.

Great sized room, large shower, the welcome pack of water and snacks was a nice touch. Free daily wine tasting and complimentary breakfast were included

Only one elevator was working, so it took about 15 minutes to get from our floor 10 to the lobby.

The hotel was exceptionally nice and clean. The room was a little smaller than I would have liked but it is NYC so that was expected. The breakfast had good choices and the hours were long. All employees were very welcoming and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to everyone. If I plan another trip I would stay here again. The location of the hotel was perfect. You are close to Times Square and Penn Station. Both are about a 10 minute walk.

The two elevators were small and you can wait a little while as there were many guest staying at the hotel.

Excellent location, good size comfortable rooms. The hotel bar and lobby were always busy (but in a good way). Plenty of opportunities to relax after a hard day’s sightseeing! Rooms were well equipped, with comfortable beds. Breakfast was a bit of a nightmare- sooo busy at times that the food options ran out and took a long time to be replaced (if at all). One day there was no butter available! Mum market is available 24/7 and can help if you have any urgent ’needs’ (like chocolate at 2am!) Very easy to get to the main attractions either via walking or on the subway. Right around the corner from Maddison Square Gardens. If you choose to have breakfast at the hotel, get up early (go in your PJ’s if needed- it’s a thing!)

Busyness of breakfast- the space was not enough, and the food options were not topped up frequently especially in the busier times.

The hotel has a great location few blocks away from Times square what ensures that noise is far away. The room had no spectacular view, it was looking at small inside yard but it also helped that it was really quite compared to being in New York city. The room is bigger than the avarage in the city. Bathroom was tidy and clean. The bed is just fine. Breakfast was included which is a really good thing as you don't have to chase food in the morning and can go right after breakfast to see sights. Hair dryer can be found in the room (it was not listed within equipments) so you don't need to take one with you. A lot of public transport is in close proximity.

In the room there was no place to sit down except the bed and it has no place for the clothes so had to dress from lagguage throughout our stay. Food selection at breakfast was not that wide and was the same every day. The elevators are always busy so we barely used them, rather we went on the stairs - fortunately we had the room on the 3rd floor.
