Holiday Inn New York City - Times Square, an IHG Hotel

the location, if visiting times square this hotel is perfect for walking nearby as well food options. I walked the entire stay & the longest walk was probably 15min, I would definitely stay again. The views from the top floors were amazing!!

Alot of people around the front of the hotel, homeless people but! Cops were everywhere and I felt safe. Those aren't things the property probably can't control but if your someone who doesn't like a lot of activity, then I would find a different hotel.

Good location, clean, quiet, and friendly staff. Met our expectations. The only negative was the homeless people in the area, a reality in all cities.

The location is fantastic for tourists and the room was very comfortable. We stayed for a week and found the room perfect for that duration - the beds were comfy, the shower was usually good (occasionally took a while to heat up), and there were conveniences like a coffee machine and big TV.

There are sometimes long waits for the elevators. There are notices advising against using them during "rush hour", but it's not convenient to plan your trip around that. We received two bath towels despite having three guests, even after flagging this up the first time it happened, so that was not ideal. The staff always left a key card in the power slot and the lights on in the room which meant we were wasting power while we were out, which I was not very comfortable with.

Position was perfect for our needs, the Hotel is close to the nicest places in NYC. Staff always available to help with a smile. We just needed a place were to rest and we didn't need the breakfast. Room was cleaned every day and inside there was a fridge,a coffee machine, a Nice big Tv, a desk/table, a and safe. They gave us a very nice room with view to the City (see the picture) Rooms were big enough, bathroom really nice and even the hair dryer is included. Everything was Perfect. We'll come again :)

- great location, near to Times Square, MSG, possible to walk to Central Park or Empire State Building - rooms always cleaned after we left in the morning and return in the afternoon - great view on Edge skydeck, especially beatiful at night

- homeless people outside the hotel - small rooms, but that what you get for the price at this location - elevators sometimes crowded, at certain time of the day you need to wait longer time for them to arrive - possibility to lock the bathroom door might be useful

Location, location, location (I always bumped into the hotel on my way back without even checking the map!). Not only that - the room was not huge (well, we're in NY), but the cleaning standards were excellent and... I had a super Manhattan view. Shower was good, with a big head and super hot. Staff was a bit cold at first (didn't find my booking on the system and was sounding a tad annoyed/bored/tired), but got better eventually as soon as they knew I was a good guy actually :) The beds are comfy and the room is quite hot (the heating system is very efficient). The Wi-Fi in the building works perfectly. PS. There's a fridge in the room which you can use for your morning yogurt/juice or... your pre-party beers. Huge bonus for this!

Absolutely minor issues! - The room is not huge and has some outdated features. - The lifts are a joke - it's a skyscraper and there are only 2 lifts for the whole hotel. At times, it took ages to get up. Funny enough, because there is no other way to get up if you live on the 31th floor, isn'it? You desperately need a 3rd lift! - Staff a bit cold at times, but generally very welcoming. - Yes, what you heard is true. There are benches outside, with some unpleasant people sometimes. But it's not the hotel's fault - we're in super central NY. There were vagrants/weird people, but they didn't other anyone! The area is heavily policed and patrolled, so ultra safe. Just get into the hotel and you're ok!

the front desk staff, the price and the location, the GYM

The daily housekeeping was terrible, as they frequently forgot something every day. Sometimes there was no shower sheets, and sometimes there was no coffee. During my nine nights' stay, they only changed my bedding sheets twice and had never cleaned the floor. Also, the bins were never placed in the right place. Ironically, for the first three days I have tipped them and received such an unacceptable housekeeping service, so then I stopped to tip to declare my unsatisfactory to the housekeeping service.

The location is perfect, in the heart of Times Square many attractions were at walking distance and the subway station very close. The view was amazing on the Empire State Building. The room was clean, the king size bed was comfortable, we were able to have coffee cups for a few mornings. We were at this hotel for 4 nights in January so the price was fair for all the benefits.

We could hear the noises of the street but it didn't prevent us from sleeping (bring earplugs just in case). The room is quite small but I think it's basic for many NYC hotels and if you're not staying that long it's not a problem.

I was nervous about this stay because the reviews were hit or miss but honestly I had such a great stay! The staff at the front desk were very welcoming, the room was super clean upon arrival, and the air conditioning was working great. I traveled alone and my room was the perfect size..super cozy. The location was perfect because everything was walking distance, and loved that there was a Starbucks 2 min walk down the street.

Only thing I did not like was all the homeless people hanging outside the hotel. I felt super unsafe every time I walked in and out of the hotel, especially at night.
