TRYP by Wyndham New York City Times Square - Midtown

Loved having a room with a king bed and bunk beds so the kids didn't have to share. Everything was clean. Pretty quiet. Huge room for NYC! Very convenient location for walking to key attractions or catching the subway. We walked to a Broadway show and back without concerns.

The metal frame of the bunk bed rattled a bit and the ladder was very shaky. My 14 year old didn't feel confident about scaling the ladder. We put the mattress on the floor (plenty of space for this) and it was fine. Loved that they have a room to leave your luggage at checkout, but wish they had a system for associating bags with guests, that could be monitored when people come to collect their bags. You could walk out of that closet with anything and no one would know.

The room was spacious and clean. Lobby was clean. Staff was helpful.

I reserved from booking.com. I picked the one that included breakfast and pay at property option. 2 days before our stay the hotel charged my card then the first morning I went down to get breakfast around 9 and there wasn't anything. The lady at the front desk apologized and said she'd call when it was ready. About an hour later we picked up our breakfast bags consisting of an apple, bagel and cream, a muffin, water and juice. Muffins were decent but the bagels were rock hard. We only picked up breakfast that first day.

Staff arranged a new room on short notice due to noise complaint. There is a police station next door, so you will feel quite safe on the street even at night time.

I suspect that the cleaning staff on floor 12 used my personal products (shower gel, shampoo) to clean the sink, etc… which I find unacceptable if that was the case. The location - this part of Manhattan is not the cleanest, the street where the hotel is has some scaffolding which is obstructing the sidewalk. No big deal if it wasn’t for the rats running around at night. Felt safer walking on the other side of the street at night time. The scaffolding was there 5 years ago too, so not sure if this is a permanent thing for this particular street or if my timing has been bad.

Overall the hotel is very good, and in line with what are generally New York prices. The staff was very helpful, and friendly. The room was very large, with excellent views, clean, and modern. The location is close to many attractions.

Unfortunately they were not serving breakfast at this time, which would have been a nice bonus if they were. We already expect expensive prices in New York City, but we’re a little put off by the fact that we were charged extra in top of that for an early check-in. That’s not something we have experienced before. It’s understandable in these times, but if corporate can adjust that policy, it will improve customer loyalty.

Bar, food, comfort of the rooms. Location, price.

One tv was not working and despite multiple requests, the issue was not resolved.

Everything was good with the hotel and room but the sofa bed could be better. they could improve is the security in their luggage storage room system. Many people who stayed at the hotel refused to use their storage because anyone can go in and out and bags can be stolen even if they do tell you not to leave valuables in. anywhere else in a storage facility you're assigned a number and a ticket and you use that to retrieve your bag - this hotel should do this but they don't. Otherwise, the hotel is great for location and safety and cleanliness!

decent size room, close to public transport and tourist attractions including the bus tours-waking distance to a lot of places empire state building, times square, hudson yards etc, staff helpful, rooms clean and tidy everything worked well the amenities ironing board, Tv, coffee machine, hair dryer, great for the location/price.

the $150 security deposit took me by surprise, had to re budget for the trip, only disappointment was the gym, very dirty, few bits of equipment some of which were out of order and hardly any space at all. would classify this as a 3 star personally.

We are a family of 5 (2 adults and 3 teens 18, 15 and 13). We were in a "family" room with 2 queen beds, 2 single bunk beds and a pull out sofa. We had enough room to change and move around. The location was convenient, right off 8th Ave. easy to walk to Time Square. A subway station is nearby as well. We did not visit the restaurant, so I can't give a review. We purchased a parking space close by using Spot Hero, no problem dropping our stuff off and taking the car to the spot. When we arrived, it was warm and heard people complaining about the air conditioning being broke. The hotel attendant assured us it was fixed and by the next morning our room had cooled off. I can't blame them for something breaking and it being fixed.

When taking a shower, we had to let the water run about 10 minutes before it got warm. And when it was finally warm it was REALLY HOT!

The room was nice and clean and the bed was comfortable. It was also nice to have a restaurant and bar on site, after a long day sightseeing it was nice as a lone female not to have to venture out after dark for food (it would have been better if the tables had been cleaned after breakfast there was syrup all over the table and it got on my clothing and iPad)

The lady who was at the front desk was quite rude when I arrived, my phone way dying and I was asking if it was possible to use and outlet to charge my phone, I could have been asking for the Crown Jewels for how she looked at me. I also asked if I could leave my case with the consierge. I was told to just put it in the room storage area which at that point no one was manning so sot very safe

Staff at the Paul hotel is great and helpful, location is perfect, nearby all the importat sights to visit, and most valuable, there wasn’t any noise from the streets, eventough you’re in the heart of the city.

We booked TRYP hotel, and we just got a call to go to The Paul hotel, which wasn’t that bad at all, but still TRYP hotel should remove themselves from booking until they open again. They sold us breakfast included, there wasn’t any breakfast, restaurant is closed (they just pack an apple and fruit yoghurt to take away, which is really bad). No parking.
