Convenient location (for us), exceptionally friendly and accommodating staff, continental breakfast included (but no decaf), comfortable but "cozy" room, charging outlets by each bed side, tub with shower.

Showerhead water pressure was pathetic, very loud pressure toilet (effective, but not good for mid-night visits), mattress was really firm, no extra room for even a chair (except the teeny desk chair), no ventilation in bathroom, not much sink space, so nowhere to store a dopp kit (except underneath the sink).

We got to NYC early and Odalis on reception checked us in and upgraded our room. Which was amazing and gave us a bit more space, which was really nice. Love the free breakfast in the lobby. Fantastic location. All the staff were super friendly and we really enjoyed our stay.

I wish that I didn't have to call for coffee and that there were facilities in the room. I think the bathrooms are a bit dated..

I liked the room! It wasnt a what you ordered vs what you get situation. It is exactly as it is depicted in the photos. It was clean, the bathroom was clean and spacious. There was a certain damp-smelling smell when you enter, but would only last for a few so I assume it was the soap they used to clean the bathroom. They serve breakfast which isnt something you will find in NY hotels. The staff were really helpful and very quick to respond and cater to your needs. They gave bottled water quite easily, again, this is NYC and bottled water isnt cheap so that was a plus for me! They store luggage for you after you check out and a PLUS PLUS for me was the flexibility to check in earlier and check out later! I would definitely stay here again for SURE!!!

I didnt like the hair that was lying around after cleaning but when I told the front desk, they immediately actioned this and i didnt spot any strand of hair thereafter. Just something to consider, please get English speaking support staff. It makes such a difference!

The location is the higher point in this hotel - close to turistics spots and metro stations. Lower price than the average, fine bed and TV, complimentary coffee and pastries every morning (shouldn't call it breakfast though). Staff very warming and ready to help at any time. Loved their rooftop - wish I came during summer to enjoy it better.

I chose the room with the balcony and it was a huge disapointment - although there is in fact a balcony, there´s no view. It faces the inner side of the building, home to a lot of birds and very dirty (I guess they clean the room but never clean the balcony). They say they offer free breakfast when they should say they offer complimentary coffee and pastries every morning (because there's all there is). No fridge inside the room.

The location of this hotel is perfect, located at the edge of Flatiron District. The subway is nearby and you can walk to most destinations in Midtown in under 40 minutes. We had a room on the 7th floor, with a balcony facing away from the street, which was nice and quiet (for Manhattan anyway). A view of the Chrysler Building was a nice addition :). The staff is incredibly nice and helpful. The room, though named "cozy", was actually big enough for the two of us and we had no problem with space even with multiple pieces of luggage. The hotel is not very big, so you can actually enjoy a little peace and solitude after a long day in NYC. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a nice, quiet hotel in a convenient location for a reasonable price.

The breakfast was indeed continental - so you basically get what you are promised. Some basic (and not very fresh) pastries, jam, coffee, orange juice, some fruit and cereal. It would be okay if everything wasn't soooo sugary. Just don't expect a full british/german style breakfast buffet :).

The location was excellent and all descriptions given were accurate so had little to no disappointment. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great every morning, simple but exactly what was needed to start the day. After reading many reviews the rooms were exactly as described, we had booked 3 cosy queen rooms and all were clean and comfortable, exactly what we needed for a five night stay. This is a simple hotel which met our needs. Anything that we needed the staff were more than happy to accommodate for from early check in and late check out, luggage hold was fab for our day of departure as we weren't due to leave until the afternoon and when returning to the hotel early for our taxi we were able to stay in the lobby, eat, drink and get ready for our journey home. Really have no complaints.

There wasn't anything I didn't I like. The hotel really was exactly as expected.

I cannot say it enough times...staff, Staff, STAFF, especially Patrick! If you are looking for a large, luxurious hotel room with breathtaking views, this NOT your hotel. However, if you plan to spend all of your days experiencing NYC, then this has all you need to start (breakfast) and finish (rooftop lounge) your daily adventures. The friendly and helpful staff is what made it "wonderful," especially Patrick! He went above and beyond to help us 1st timers experience NYC and love our stay at the Lex.

Standard room size may be an issue for some people, but had better view than the premium room.

The staff were some of the friendliest and helpful front desk people I've ever experienced. They consistently met me with a smile, tripped over themselves to get me coffee when the breakfast time was over, repeatedly asked if I needed anything else. The breakfast was simple but included fresh milk for my coffee, fruit and delicious pastries. The room was clean and fairly newly renovated. The staff provided extra amenities when we ran out very quickly and as asked. The location was very central to many sites in the city and only a couple blocks from a train station. Oh, and there's a roof top lounge with great views of the city. So happy to have stumbled upon this gem.

I really can't think of much. Like many older hotels, the air conditioning was a bit finicky, but we figured out the trick. Also the shower head sprayed into the bathroom so there was a puddle of water every morning. Easily mopped up with a towel.

room on 7th floor had a little balcony with a side view of the skyline of the city. Room was bigger than expected. Breakfast is basic but good value (just coffee, orange juice, muffins, croissants, one type of cereal, apples, oranges). very friendly staff. Great rooftop with view to Chrysler building in the distance. Located near two subway stations to choose from (23rd or 28th street, green line). Lots of restaurants (primarily Indian food, but also a Subway restaurant) next door.

At breakfast unfortunately just plastic cutlery and plastic plates/cups

Very good option for central Manhattan. We love the Flat Iron district and the location of the hotel allows you to reach multiple spots in NYC on foot. Also, although close to the hectic Midtown, the neighbourhood is more quiet, but still offers a lot of restaurant and shopping opportunities. Staff were very kind and helpful, always with a smile greeting us in or out of the hotel. Rooms were clean and had all basic amenities.

Room sizes were smaller than expected, but this is the norm in Manhattan. Despite the advantage of the location, the room was not a great value for money, as we felt it was missing at least some more storage space.
