Park Royalton is very well-located. The subway station is literally across the street. There is a Starbucks, McDonalds and other restaurants at walking distance. The room was well-cleaned. Water pressure in the shower is strong. The hot water comes out in seconds.

They didn't have even one bottle of water for free. We rented a suite. And there is no free water ever. No free coffee, too. The other hotels in NYC who charge a resort fee of USD40.00 have free coffee and bread in the mornings. I asked the front desk what was the resort fee for? He said it was for cleaning the room. I didn't reply anymore but inside I thought isn't cleaning the room part of the nightly room rate?

It was a really nice hotel located on 29th street, walkable distance from center and having also subway stop around the corner. Room was nice and spaceful, and we especially liked the rooftop views and the pool.

Pool area limited to guests above 21y only starting from 4pm. It was a pity for my 15y-o daughter.

The staff was exceptional! Always ready to make us feel special. Our requests were met with respect and eagerness to please. Aside from the person manning the entrance to the pool, the entire team was amazing.

The pool "guard" didn't seem to understand English or French or Spanish...we tried to communicate any way we could. Also, again by the pool, at around 9:30 - 10 am, we were told not once but twice, about the pool not only serving guests but also the public and that we would have to leave the pool by 1 pm (even though it says 2 on your website), to give our seats to members of the public. Personally, I think it's very generous of the Hotel to share the pool with those who don't have one, but I don't think it should be at the detriment of your paying guests.

Great Location, Great staff, Room is large and clean, bed comfortable. Close to subway and starbucks

The clientele has changed since covid, the large lobby has been closed and replaced with a smaller space. Kitchen was not open, no room service. The floors smelled strongly and uncomfortably of Marijuana, we had to burn candles in the rooms to camouflage the smell. Sadly I think it's the last time we stay there.

We loved this hotel! For a family of 4 the room was big, in Manhattan such a big room! WOW, bathroom was great, very well done. AC worked great, you could even open a window, not advisable though. The swimming pool in August is such a bonus, the staff there was great. Empire state building can be seen from the pool roof.

As it was quiet the bar closed early. We had to wait long for food. But that was only once.

Our room was very spacious and had a cool balcony. The lobby is fantastically air conditioned, smells fantastic, and full of gorgeous plants.

The pool situation is tricky. We basically stayed there for the rooftop pool, but felt like we struggled to use it, because the chairs were hard to come by. Sad that there isn't a better system to turn the chairs over, and that couches are reserved (and sit empty) for hours on end. It's kept pretty clean, though, and the staff is friendly, so I'm not complaining exactly. W

My husband and I stayed at the Royalton from 12-19th January with our 7 month old daughter and our stay was fabulous. Every single staff member was friendly, polite and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great time. We had an issue with our air con on our first night and the staff fixed it at 4am for us and then spent time checking it was working whilst we were out the following day. Concierge Ryan was incredibly helpful with recommendations of places to visit - he is such an asset to the hotel! Thank you to the lovely staff who helped us with our luggage, those who welcomed us to the restaurant and bar and the lovely housekeeping team. And a big thank you to the lifeguard who humoured my eccentric English ways whilst I "swam" in the pool at 0 degrees on the morning of Sunday 15th! We will be recommending you to friends and family and we will definitely be back to stay again one day! Thank you, Hannah, Dan and Phoebe Fryer from London x

Everything was perfect.

Really good value for money. For rooms this size in mid-town, with a bath and shower, and double sink, we couldn’t find better value on Booking.com. Hotel staff were really accommodating and welcoming. There is a roof-top pool, slightly small and aging, but with a view of the Empire State Building. Water was too cool for us but it was early April, by May/June/July this would be amazing. We asked for a quiet room and it was, as it was at the back of the hotel. Room had a comfortable sofa in as well. Really good location for going up and down town both ways. Empire State was an ten minute walk away. Everywhere else was a metro or a cab quickly.

There are a lot of rooms in the hotel and it always felt very busy, and perhaps would be noisy had we not had a top floor room. Decor is a little dated. It’s not a trip-of-a-lifetime hotel, but we didn’t book it for that. Can’t fault the price.

The concierge was amazing. The rooftop lounge was wonderful for coffee in the am and drinks at night. Kids were able to swim in the pool. Valet was prompt and courteous. Staff honored our request for adjoining rooms which really made our family vacation so smooth. There are many activities and great restaurants within walking distance.

Our last morning was a disaster due to the lack of coffee in the building. There was no coffee maker in our room, none in the lobby and the usual coffee on the rooftop lounge was not available Monday or Tuesday. While this might seem small, fatigue and lack of coffee on departure day is not a good combo. Would it really be so hard to put a pot of coffee in the lobby? Also, drawers in room stuck and could not be opened. We get that you are renovating and there is no food available....but a little coffee....really guys!

The location was great. 5 minutes walk to Madison Sq Park, Flatiron etc. The front desk and door staff were very welcoming on the whole. The room was clean and the a/c efficient. Breakfast wasn’t included but we ate there two mornings. Excellent blueberry muffins (made in-house? Very fresh). The pool was a great help as we were travelling with a child and some days were HOT!

Not much really: If I’m being picky I had a package delivered and asked one of the reception staff to find it. He took my details and nothing happened. I asked again (different member of staff) two hours later and got it with no problems. The hotel advertises a sofa bed rate of an extra $100 per night if a guest is sleeping on it. This is steep considering that the sofa bed isn’t being made up by housekeeping each evening and put away each morning. I understand having an extra fee, and we booked knowing about it, but I was expecting top-level-twice-daily-sofa-bed-management for the fee paid. Breakfast service was a little haphazard. The quality of the food made up for it.
