Hotel Giraffe by Library Hotel Collection

staff is amazing upon arrival, room is beautiful and super clean. love the balcony. we also love the 12 th floor outdoor giraffe garden.

we miss the wine & cheese in the evening.

A charming hotel in a relatively quiet part of NY, but still with easy access to pretty much anything you'd want to do while visiting Manhattan. Huge room, huge bathroom.. Everything is clean and well maintained. No weird smells in the room. Great breakfast with really nice staff to help you out. The lobby is a welcoming environment in comparison to a lot of hotels that have restaurants. You can relax there without feeling like you are on the clock. We stayed 5 nights as a family of 4. Highly recommend.

Elevators were spotty. They should install a water bottle filling station / water fountain.

Location: excellent, super convenient for catching the subway uptown or downtown Room: clean and pleasant with enough room for our family of 4, and we loved being able to open the balcony doors to look out on the city Amenities: we appreciated the included breakfast and snacks--these are a rarity for this price point in NYC and we loved not having to wrangle ourselves to a separate restaurant for breakfast every morning. Staff: all were lovely, very polite and helpful

Lack of 1st floor lobby restroom: not a huge deal, but slightly inconvenient when our kids needed to use it on our way in or out Elevator: one day one of the two elevators wasn't in working order, and the remaining elevator wasn't very large, so it took some time to get back and forth from our 8th floor room. This was probably more of an issue whenever the lack of a lobby restroom came up... Snacks: this isn't actually something we didn't like (as mentioned above, it was great to have them), but expanding the snack offerings would make things even more amazing. My kids appreciated the Clif bars, but having even 1 or 2 other options for quick-grab items would truly be above and beyond.

the staff are very warm and welcoming. while the rooms are quite large and comfortable they do need an update. that being said they are very clean.

the lobby snacks provided after breakfast have become very sparse. breakfast is perfectly acceptable but on previous visits the snacks were much more generous. The 25$ resort fee should cover the same selection as previously offered. a larger variety of fruits, chips, cookies etc. The pillows need to be updated too.

The staff were absolutely brilliant - everything necessary was simple and anything extra that was asked was dealt with brilliantly - the room was cleaned and presented fantastically each day and honestly could not fault any part of the service

Nothing - apart from maybe complimentary alcohol in the lobby.

Great location, excellent spot to explore NY. The rooms - we had a suite - are spacious with enough closet space. Having a little balcony was a huge plus, even in winter. And, very important during this pandemic, the room was spotless.

Nothing, I'd stay here again!

The location was great and all the staff was helpful and kind.

It was disappointing that there was no breakfast service due to COVID. We had to go out every morning to get breakfast, which was a bit of pain especially on cold days.

Fantastic location in midtown near the Park/ 28th st subway that can get you quickly up or downtown. Short stroll from Empire State & Flatiron. Plenty of nice little bars and restaurants nearby. Clean, very comfortable beds, and very helpful and friendly staff. Coffee, bottled water, cold sodas, fruit, crisps all available 24/7 in lobby as part of the price.

Room was warm, air conditioning is below par. Bathroom could do with modernising. Roof Terrace was closed on the first night we stayed and again the next day due to private events, which meant it was unavailable the times we wanted to use it. Breakfast was a very light self service option in the lobby which suited us but might not suit you if you like a proper hotel breakfast.

The room was cosy, clean, quite big, with a lot of storage, drinking water available. Every morning there was a breakfast available in the lobby, which was included in the price, and also snacks /soft drinks/coffe available throughout the day. Nice terrace on the top floor if you need extra space to chill out. Fantastic location.

Due to a very central location, it was a little noisy (noise from the street) early in the morning.

The little things no other hotel would of thought off. The cotton wool, and buds in the bathroom. The all day coffee snacks, soft drink and water. The lemon and honey for your tea. The simple breakfast. I just thought this was a normal cheap hotel next to the place we were celebrating New Years. This hotel is classy, comfy and exceeded any hotel I’ve ever been in.

New Year’s Day, and the banging of the door as the housekeepers went in and out the door next to me.
