The location of the hotel was excellent as were the front desk staff. The rooms were average in size, clean, the bedding nice and comfortable. Our room was on the interior of the building, which was fantastic as we did not hear the noise from the street.

The breakfast was below par-- in the city of New York, one expects better bagels at least! And the bar was closed for the week of which we were not informed until 2 days into our stay. The amenities are not exceptional.... slightly above average. It is a very nice hotel, but I expected a bit more... it is more like a 3 1/2- 3/3/4 star hotel than a 4 star.

Just my kind of hotel...boutique, historic, charming. And the staff here was truly fantastic--friendly, thoughtful, and super accommodating. The hotel bar is 1920s deco glamorous--perfect spot for raising a toast to Evelyn Nesbit:) And the Italian cafe downstairs provides the delicious breakfast included with the room. Fantastic central location for exploring all parts of the City! The Evelyn far surpassed my expectations...I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

We could have used another bath and face towel in the room as well as an extra roll of toilet paper. Also, please remind the cleaning staff to clean the telephone in the room:)

A beautiful Art Deco setting with lovely antique furniture. Both the bedrooms and public rooms were well-decorated. The location was fantastic and well-connected. The grab-and-go style breakfast was nice and had good variety, and the bar was reasonably priced.

The walls are very thin and we were woken early every morning by the sound of the shower in the next room. The room (deluxe queen) was on the small size, with very limited closet space. There was no bathtub (but the shower was very nice).

I have stayed at this hotel several times and still very much enjoy the experience. Beds are very comfortable. Rooms are well appointed. I would stay here again. Location is fantastic.

A few small touches would really improve the hotel. Coffee either in the room or available early in the lobby (before breakfast opens) would be nice. TV is a bit complicated to use and easy to mess up. Finally, I only stayed one night and had an early morning departure. Would have been nice to have a grab-and-go breakfast bag available for such guests. But instead I got nothing, although breakfast was included in my rate. All easy fixes.

The doorman and other staff are very friendly. The coffee shop on site is quality. The included breakfast items are tasty and sufficient (oatmeal, yogurt parfait or breakfast sandwich with a hot drink). Bottled water was available from reception. The restaurant on site is incredible and excellent value for dine in or room service. I appreciated the high level of mask usage and need for Covid-19 vaccination to enter the restaurant and bar. The mezzanine library and lounge area offer plenty of seating options, and nice reading materials. The valet parking was straightforward and decent value. The room was spotless and offered a comfy bed and nice quality furnishings.

Breakfast didn't include lattes, only drip coffee or small tea. The tables in both the lounge and mezzanine were frequently dirty and the mezzanine often had trash build up. Having to request room service 24 hours in advance, and poor communication around room service levels. Limited wifi made it difficult to take video meetings. Rooms are SMALL. lighting in rooms would benefit from dimmer switches. Difficult to find a power outlet in the room and communal areas.

* Great spot in midtown that’s not far from all the main iconic locations - everything is walkable if you want to do that. We even walked a few blocks to Penn station with our luggage to get the train to Newark - it was really easy. * Well appointed bedrooms (we had a king size deluxe room) with everything needed for our stay. We had a kettle delivered to our room, which was great * Wonderful origami and added art deco fixtures, fittings and decoration. it really adds to the look and feel. * Great unexpected additions such as the free walking tours, wine hour night (although we didn’t use it) and the welcoming morning grab and go breakfast. I highly recommend the sausage and egg roll as it had a touch of spice. very tasty. * Lovely friendly staff, everyone was very helpful and accommodating. Leonela is a brilliant hotel manager and is an asset to the Triumph Group.

* The bar closed at 10pm which we thought was early, and it would have been great to get back after a long day and have a couple of drinks before bedtime.

this was our 10th trip to NYC, we have stayed in the Times Square area or Williamsburg and we wanted to be further down Manhattan for another outlook. We were in for a treat at the Evelyn, the location was perfect! Less touristy than Times Square so the options we were real New Yorkers go, the hotel itself is Art Deco style and dates from around that time. We had a room on the 11th floor and had partial view of 27th and 5th. The area around the hotel is really nice, we often walked into Maddison Square park and people watched. We had a shake shack one night under the festoon lights, which was pretty epic. The room was nicely decorated, clean and had a bay window, the bed was comfy and the bathroom was nice. Really happy with our time at the Evelyn and would return for definite

you could hear people in the corridors very easily so a little more sound proofing would be of benefit, other than that nothing to grumble about

great hospitality, easy efficient and kind service at concierge at all times, delicious complimentary breakfast, the restaurant is great and the staff is amazing, great atmosphere, nice decor, great shower, fridge, easy deep safe, great complementary toiletries, nice pillows, lots of outlets! big, convenient work desk and large windowsill and desk lamp.

I loved my room, but I couldn’t sleep at all. The noise bleed is awful. There was loud machinery or HVAC system going on all night outside my window and the mattress padding was thin and springy. I could hear an alarm at 4am, someone banging every door and drawer in the next room all morning, and doors slamming all afternoon during meeting.

We really liked this location. It was close to a nice park and subway stops. We walked back from Times Square a few times, definately a hike but doable. Take advantage of the free walking tour - it was really great. I wish we would have done the others offered by the sister hotels! I was happy with the breakfast sandwich which was one of the options included using your breakfast voucher. The bed was super comfortable and the staff was friendly. Each day as we were walking out, we stopped at the front desk and asked for a couple bottles of water, which they provided at no cost. Nice touch! Also a bonus to have the workshop bakery immediately to the left when you walk out of the hotel.

There really is nothing I didn't like. It's impossible to have 2 suitcases open and be able to walk around but that is just how the room size is in New York so I can't really count that! The staff at the breakfast facility can be rude, however this cafe is not owned by the hotel so the hotel is unable to control this. Just go in, order your free breakfast without expecting a smile and tip!

The location is ideal for New York. Everything is close. Madison Square Park is just on the parallel of the Hotel. Breakfast to go is fine and especially concerning New York is great plus. The buidling of the hotel is historical and if you want an hotel with more charme than average hotel that is the place you would appreciate. The NoMad neighbourhood is a great place for bars restaurants and shopping.

There are no particular things we did not like. It is a very good hotel in an historical building and area that is close to everything. Kudos
