The Marmara Park Avenue

Marmara is gorgeous, spotless, and safe. I don’t know what size the bed is, but it’s bigger than a standard queen, and super comfortable! The pool is warm and amazing. The hammam is immaculate. The location is perfect; just close enough to attractions, and far enough away to give you peace. Each room has two really cushy robes and slippers, but you can only keep the slippers. Wi-Fi works great. The AC/heat adjusts quickly and is whisper quiet.

The “breakfast included“ thing here is A TOTAL LIE. It’s served all day, but $21-30. The complimentary birdseeds and doggy treats they have at the bar is NOT breakfast. Parking is almost $100 and if you move your car, you have to pay all over again! The bellhops are rude and aloof- they only speak to you if they have to. The staff is efficient but very snotty, considering they’re just glorified Customer Service ppl. This place has THE pokiest (slow) elevators on earth. In addition to there being no tub, there’s no physical barrier between the shower and the rest of the bthrm. So, once you bathe the whole bathroom floor is wet.

Construction work was very noisy and bothersome, however the Hotel Staff helped us change rooms to a nicer room so we put up with loud construction. We were gone most days, but it started at 7 a.m. so .. ya. . Location was good for us, a short drive to times square like just over a mile. A light Breakfast was included but I wasn't told until our last night. Pool is small, but clean. We used it twice, & it was not crowded. Turkish Spa is unique feature very nice I think I would return for another go at that. . Rooftop Bar is also nice though expensive, $23 for a small drink. But the iconic buildings view is very beautiful. I would stay here again.

Construction noise. Very loud and we weren't informed. Didn't know until we were in the hallway outside our room and heard the jackhammering.

The rooms were HUGE for the value! The bathrooms were BEAUTIFUL, marble tile floor to ceiling. Our room had a maintenance issue upon arrival - the staff upgraded us to a different room and ensured our stay was positive from beginning to end. The Turkish spa in the basement was a HUGE surprise! The extra cost compared to a value hotel was 100% worth it. We were traveling with two children and I was worried the hotel would be too "adult" for them. However, it was a wonderful option for families with large rooms, quiet hallways, pool in the basement, etc.

A small detractor was the price of the drinks at the lobby bar. I understand NYC pricing is much different, but $21-25 for one cocktail seems a bit high. I wouldn't say this is a major detractor, you can always get drinks somewhere else!

We stayed at Marmara hotel for 4 nights. The staff are extremely helpful and I like the fact that's it's not a chain hotel which makes it more cozy and our New York experience more unique. The location is perfect 6 train is literally 1 min away from the door. The room has plates bowls and everything that we need for a family to stay. It's also quite cool to have a pool and sauna in NYC hotel with this location and the price. The staff are helpful and willing to take extra miles in solving our problems. The bar is also good and to be fair the price is quite reasonable too. I'll recommend the hotel.

The hotel is newly renovated therefore some of the last touch facility is at our balcony. However, the view is quite amazing given it's quite cool to have balcony in NYC. The location is right at subway station but there's a soup kitchen near by. However, I don't think it's a major problem since it's still really safe and hey it's right at Park so it's still a fancy area. The butler is helpful too.

The hotel is very sexy. The decor is a deep chocolate brown with gold accents. The lobby feels expensive the second you walk in. The pool is recently renovated and very sleek and beautiful. There is a lifeguard on-duty. The Turkish Bath was very relaxing and enjoyable. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

The hours for the Turkish Bath. NYC is a city where you are out most of the day and it would have been great to come back and be able to use the Hamam. Unfortunately, it closes at 9 and I was usually not back until closer to 11.

I have been to the city frequently in the last few years and stayed at many hotels in Gramercy and Murray Hill, and this by far exceeded my expectations! The size alone surprised me for the price! I had so much space to place my belongings. Even the closet was huge! The front desk staff was so welcoming and helpful! Exceptionally clean! Very comfortable beds, clean bathroom, great housekeeping service. The double queen suite room was quiet and even had a private balcony!The gym was perfect, had a peloton bike which was great! Although we didn’t use the Turkish bath, it was an added bonus! All the staff was so friendly and ready to help with a smile! I particularly like hotels that are bright, well lit and and modern in decor. The best part was the room was the same way! Loved this hotel! I have found my go to hotel in NYC!

the hotel is centrally located and still in a more quiet street off the busy avenues. Great hotel team - easy to interact with, service-minded and a special mention to the cleaning team that left us each day with an impeccable clean room. We had a room at the rear of the building, very quiet. Spacious room with a kitchenette and all tools to organise for a quick bite to eat or a simple breakfast if you want to. top class bed, assures a good night's rest. Frankly, we did not expect that ample space, and that was definitely a bonus. Compact yet very neat bathroom with a very nice retro-look. . The bar downstairs is compact yet with a very cosy setup. Subway nearly in front of the hotel, easy access towards down- and uptown Manhattan. via the 5 and 6 subway line. I recommend !

the overall ambiance is warmth, cosiness. high hotel rooms referring to the grandeur of buildings in the 1930s. The hotel could do however with a bit of freshening up ( a lick of paint here or there and a fastening a nut or a bolt). Yet, not a showstopper for me.

The hotel is really nice and all rooms are clean and quiet. Personnel was professional and accommodated most of our requests (early check in, luggage storage, extra sheets change...). We enjoyed a few of the amenities offered as well: gym, pool and Turkish bath.

The hotel is located not far from many attractions and we mainly walked every night to some nearby restaurants. However, the street where the hotel is located is not the cleanest, and although there's a nice street lounge with a covered patio for the guests to enjoy, the surrounding environment is not super inviting.

Rooms were excellent. Very large. Many hotels in NYC would put two doubles in the double we had. 15th floor we had excellent views as well. Concierge and house keeping were excellent and very accommodating. Hotel located right next to subway for downtown line to Brooklyn bridge. Restaurant was pretty good. They had a musician in one evening. The pool and gym were good unfortunately doing a lot of sight seeing meant there wasn't the time to make full use of these facilities

Nothing really stands out. The fridge in my room didn't always seal shut. This wasn't used much, so not really an issue. Gym could do with a rowing machine.

We liked our room very much, especially the amenity of a kitchenette. We also enjoyed the pool. The interior design of the entrance and bar area is really beautiful. We had an overall pleasant stay.

The staff was very friendly, but the service in the restaurant was slow, for dinner one time we left the restaurant and had room service instead, this was much better. The street site is not so nice right now, due to a construction nearby.
