Leon Hotel LES

Great staff, excellent location, clean room, amazing view from our window, I would choose it again! Not a luxurious hotel, but fair deal, not missing anything. No breakfast served in the hotel, leading me however to discover nearby bagel shops and wonderful bakeries, cafes and dessert places. A true "aroma" of multinational Manhattan, covers the area. By the way, within waking distance from Brooklyn Bridge and other area landmarks. In spite of what we had been told, the subway worked very well for us and stations are extremely close to the hotel.

Clean and presentable. Great for its price. There’s a Water and ice machine downstairs you can use to keep refilling (The water was clean). Quiet inside the rooms.

Not really a con for me but i would say to some only con was in the hallway you can hear in people rooms if loud enough.

We loved our stay in Leon. Had fantastic room with beautiful room, large comfortable bed, very good quality bathroom. Location is very good, close to subway and China Town, to grab food - it was safe and clean nearby. Wifi was working perfectly well as well. All good!

I had little trouble with my card being triple charged by hotel for my stay, which I expected to be better handled by staff - that was very stressful for me and took food 14 days after our stay to resolve, but thanks God my money is back. I wish there were more products available in bathroom - like tiny shower gel...

location was good, easy to get to Chinatown, little Italy, Manhattan and Brooklyn bridges. subway only a 5 minute walk away to head downtown. Large clean rooms, comfortable beds and excellent bathroom.

front desk was friendly and helpful. Comfy beds. Room was a good size ( by NY standards)

No fridge

Great location to explore Chinatown, Little Italy, close to subway. Our room had lovely view of Manhattan Bridge, Arch, and Chinatown. Staff was friendly (desk and housekeeping) and facilities very clean. King room was good size and comfortable. Shower and water pressure were awesome!

We'd prefer to have a fridge in room; there was place for one, but no fridge. (The hotel posting had not said there was fridge, so there was no misrepresentation). Furniture a bit worn but all functional. Could have used a heavier or extra blanket but could turn heat up if desired.

Beds were super comfortable, room was clean and looked great. Loved the little window seat. Staff were friendly

The hotel listed soundproofing as one of its features. Myself being a very light sleeper, I booked partly because of this thinking it would be quieter than your average hotel. We could hear the street noise, hallway noise and noise from the other rooms around us. (No more than a regular hotel) But maybe take that off your hotel ammenities list.

very spacious considering you are in New York. There was a large desk and enough room for two large suitcases, the closet was not large but enough for a couple of days. The room was clean even though the carpet looked like it had seen better days. The bed was very comfortable. We slept with earplugs but it seemed like the room was very quiet despite being at a large intersection. The location was close to Little Italy. There was daily housekeeping.

The AC vent was right above the bed and the adjustment of the temperature didn’t seem to work.

good room (big enough for our needs), gentle staff (helped us a lot with deciding how to move back to airport and tried to give us as much help as needed), all needed services were there, it's not too far from subway (about 0,3-0.4 miles)

the location is unfortunate - that part of manhattan isn't quite good: being so close to the manhattan bridge and being in the middle of chinatown and LES unveiled as a degraded place and we were a bit worried by roaming around

Friendly staff in a simple stay offering a decent room with king size bad and a good shower. If you are looking to travel the city and not stay in a up-scaled room this is just what you need. The hotel is located in China Town and you will experience its special environment right away, it is also close to the Lower East Side and the famous SOHO (5-7 minutes walk) - if you want to visit these areas (and you do) of the city, the location is great! Last, the hotel is 5 minutes walk from metro stations Grand or Canal that will get you anywhere else you need.
