Wyndham Garden Chinatown

The best thing is the view, it’s amazing! The bed was very comfortable and I slept really well. The staff are very polite and friendly. The rooftop bar was nice also with very friendly staff.

The shower! It was a great powerful shower but the glass did not cover enough of it so the water ends up in a big puddle on the floor.

no towel hooks! it seems odd to to have anywhere to hang wet towels. easy fix by management!

12th floor with a wonderful view. I slept with the curtains open so I could see the view when waking up. Floor to ceiling windows. You're walking distance to Brooklyn Bridge (got there at sunset), China Town, Little Italy, even Soho for shopping. Get a metrocard and ride local buses and subway trains, you can get to Times Square pretty quickly, about 20 mins by subway (including a little walk)

If they want to improve anything, then a few towel rails and a shelf in the bathroom wouldn't go a miss. Nowhere to put our cosmetics or hang wet towels!

The property is close to the D and B train ,walking distance to Delaney or soho if you desire. I really enjoyed the restaurant attached to the hotel , I believe all the rooms are sound proof so it was very quiet and relaxing, great staff members they were always on point and ready to assist. Oh and the roof top lounge is a vibe. (Side note I love that there was an iron available in the room )

this wasn’t a big deal but the ice machine on my floor was out of ice or not working, and the “ private entrance “ is not really a private entrance more like a convenience entrance lol ,from the restaurants to the lobby a stranger from off the street can use it !

The service was fantastic and everything was clean. Location was close to the B/D train (Grand) which was convenient for most transfers. Walking distance to Mott St. Beds were reasonably comfortable and there were lots of pillows which I love personally. Because of Covid they were doing cleaning service on demand so we opted to keep our own room clean while we stayed.

The shower leaked all over the bathroom regardless of how careful we were in showering- we used all our towels to mop up the puddle on the floor. It seems the seal on the shower was not perfect and so water comes out of the spigot, down the wall, and out the crack in the glass adjacent. We didn't say anything to the hotel but while we were sitting in the lobby once we overheard another guest letting the front desk know about the same problem in their room... I am guessing this is a prevalent issue there.

Helpful staff. Clean! Great views! Great location for me and a friend. Right near Little Italy and in Chinatown. So many great food options nearby. Also, very convenient to several subway lines. Side note: looking for a friendly, chill, neighborhood bar nearby? Go to the Whiskey Tavern on Baxter, a few blocks away. Watch whatever game you want. Standard pub fair. Insanely awesome staff. Strong pours on mixed drinks and good pint prices on beers.

The charge on my card was done in two charges, rather than one. The second was higher, but maybe it included the $50 deposit and might(?) be refunded. But I’m not sure if the math adds up. I will see what happens when the pending charge is finalized.

Location and view

Carpet was sticky and did not feel clean. No place in bathroom to hang towels or place toiletries. European shower glass did not extend long enough so that even if angled shower head toward wall, bathroom floor got wet and not enough towels. Luggage rack was broken and though called to have replaced, was not done. However, staff was quick to acknowledge the request which was made. No end table next to one side of bed which was inconvenient.

The hotel is at an excellent location for moving around easily and you are very close to the nice cafes and restaurants in Soho. The staff is excellent.

We had an issue with cleaning. When we arrived we were asked on which dates we wanted our room to be cleaned, but it was not on the second date. We reported that and it was cleaned the day after alright. We found it a but overpriced, due to Christmas time. Prices on normal times are OK.

We were in a room with 2 twin beds on the 12th floor (room 1204). It was small, but not cramped - very common for NYC hotels. The view of Manhattan was stunning. I could have just looked out the windows all day.

I thought the bar on the top floor was on the roof, but it was still cool. Miss having a pool in the hotel, especially on the hot summer days I was in NYC. Otherwise, everything was excellent. So much to like!

Wyndham Garden Chinatown is perfect located in silent neighbourhood with many restaurants. Used as base for travelling around greater NYC and very close to different subway station. Reception staff was amazing, diamond for all other team members
