The hotel is well situated, being about a10 minute walk from downtown Shinjuku. The rooms are on the small side, typical of japanese hotels, but very clean and comfortable. The staff were super accomodating and friendly. It was really quiet at night and the double glazing kept out all traffic noise. All toiletries were provided and fresh towels provided daily if needed. There is a laundry and an ice machine in the hotel which is very useful for travellers. The hotel is located across the road from Shinjuku park which is lovely to walk around and there is a Starbucks located within the park, a few minutes from the hotel. The hotel has a bakery (More Than) attached to the lobby and the food was excellent. This is a huge plus for staying at the Knot. It only cost about AUD $8 to get a taxi to the hotel from the Shinjuku station. Highly recommend.

We didn't like the pillows! Too hard and only one each. The bed was faced away from the television and there was no english news channels. The room felt hot at times overnight.

For our second time staying in Tokyo, we opted for somewhere more central. We expected certain trade-offs for this, but paying a little extra for The Knot gave us a high-quality hotel experience without the eye-watering central Tokyo prices. The staff were always doing their best in what is undoubtedly a challenging time for Japanese tourism. The Grill is remarkably good, and the bar serves an excellent expresso.

Other reviews have covered things like the rooms not being the quietest, but it wasn't a problem. Our neighbour was a loud snorer, but this was barely noticeable, and certainly didn't keep us awake. 2500 yen is a lot for a buffet breakfast, but the quality of the food is high, and it is all-you-can eat. And we would suggest Tochomae station instead of Shinjuku or Nishi-Shinjuku, just be sure to seek out the elevators if you have heavy luggage.

The location was excellent, walking distance to three train stations including Shinjuku. The hotel is on the edge of a beautiful park, which gives you some respite from the throngs of people getting in and out of Shinjuku station. The hotel is amazing, really lovely staff, well-appointed and great decor and artwork on entry. The rooms are a good size, as we had twin beds, a luggage stand each for our suitcases, all the regular amenities, including a little fridge and kettle, ground coffee, and a great view of the park. The Morethan bakery is also at the lobby level of the hotel, and was where we bought our breakfast from, picking different pastries or sandwiches each day...so delicious and well-priced! There is a DJ playing music in the lobby on Friday nights, so has a great vibe about it. The restaurant is excellent and does buffets on the weekend, which are very good. The neighbourhood you are in is quiet, safe and has many choices for great food, plus many convenience stores as well. You just need to step out and explore it. I would highly recommend The Knot Tokyo at Shinjuku.

The beds were quite hard and pillows were flat.

The lobby is modern and spacious. There is also a cafe and bakery, which is very convenient if you're in a hurry. While the room is small, which is expected in Tokyo, it's very clean and comfy. We also like that there is a laundry in the facility. We had some troubles with the AC in the room and the hotel staff and the technician showed up within a hour to fix it. We do appreciate the great and speedy service! Oh, most importantly, the wifi is good!

Located in a quiet and pleasant part of Shinjuku. The Shinjuku Central Park just in front of the hotel is nice to walk by the end of the afternoon. We found many good local restaurants around. And of course, the proximity with the Shinjuku station is awesome to go mostly everywhere in Tokyo or even outside like Otsuki or Fujiyoshida. In the hotel, the Morethan Grill was awesome on everything: food, drinks, people. Special mention to the barman who’s fantastic, we enjoyed those Coco Cranberry cocktails a lot. The Morethan Bakery was also incredible for breakfast. Also special mention to people working in the hotel who always helped us and were so nice with us. Overall a very, very good stay!

Modern hotel near metro station (8 minute walk) and train station (15 minute walk). We stayed in 16 m² rooms which were comfortable and clean. The room was spacious, for Japan, and is perfectly fine if you’re travelling with carry on luggage only. I would not advise this size room if you have big suitcases. We didn’t book breakfast and chose to get breakfast at the bakery in the morning instead. The bakery is amazing!

The bathroom can be a bit uncomfortable for tall people.

Location was great. Lovely clean hotel. Courteous staff. Loved having access to the park across the street. Comfortable bed. Very clean and loved the deep bath to relax after walking all day. Water nice and hot and good water pressure.

The room was much smaller than expected. The size shown on the webpage is the size including the bathroom, shower and entrance way. It is not the size of the actual room. Very cramped. Disappointed in that aspect. There was almost no space in the room around the bed. No where to open your suitcases. No wardrobe. Just a couple of hangers to hang your stuff on the wall. We had to move the bed to make room.

The location was not that great, not many things open in the surrounding areas at Night and it's a 20min walk to Shinjuku St. I stayed in the 14m2 room and it is what it si could barely fit my brother and I with our luggage. We had to take turns getting ready haha it is what it is

Great hotel, warm and welcoming lobby. The sandwiches from the bakery are really good, especially mackerel (I was surprised!). Had a park view room, space was sufficient. Any smaller I wouldn't have been able to unpack my luggage. Love the mini bathtub. Great that there's a coin laundry.

Location just a tad far, the path to Shinjuku central area is straightforward but during rainy season is depressing especially seeing the homeless people along the way. Soundproofing between room and corridor not great. Two mornings in a row we were woken up by kids stomping and screaming on their way to the lift lobby

Great hotel with nice rooms, nice staff. The aircon was great (quiet and allows for the perfect temperature). Next to a beautiful park and a 10 minute walk from the bustling part of Shinjuku. Trains and busses are nearby. The café and bakery downstairs are delicious.

Thin walls, you can hear the people in neighboring rooms.
